8) Hmm, maybe The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt?

Ladies and gentlemen, the top 10 begins:
10) It's every game ever created. It's Skyrim. It's Persona 3.
9) Technically this is the oldest these iconic characters have ever been
8) The unofficial return of a game and character I alluded to in my last batch of hints, but unfortunately they couldn't get the original voice actor onboard
7) My favorite DLC
6) The last three games in this series correspond to a different color each. This is the red one.

#12 - Sounds very atmospheric sci-fi-y. I'm guessing one of the Metroids. The audio sounds fairly modern, so I'll go with Dread. #11 - Also sci-fi-y, but less forboding and also sounds less modern. I know you love Metroid, and we're in the top ranks now, so I'll guess Metroid Prime. #10 - This one's really annoying me because I know I've heard that jingle before and it's super famous, but I can't quite put a name to it. |
#12 is... wrong.
#11 is... also wrong.
You had the right idea there, but the wrong execution. Think you get what I mean.
#10 is certainly a famous game, but I'm not sure this jingle itself is. Just happens to sound like many other jingles because it's fairly standard, I suppose. This one plays on the "The End" screen, though in this case they didn't use those words.

It isn't Earthbound. It's significantly more famous, I'm surprised no one got it. I'll make another hint when I get back home.
And umm, let's give Machina another chance, okay?

#9: Final Fantasy X

#33: Celeste

Celeste is the complete package. Not only does it feature simple yet tight gameplay but Madeline's story about overcoming obstacles, learning to deal with stress, depression and figuring how to move forward with all parts of yourself (good and bad) has touched me more than most story heavy games ever did. To be clear, Celeste is first and foremost a great platformer where our heroine wants to climb Mount Celeste using a small set of tools (jump, dash, grab). It is the game's levels that bring variety to what you can do with wind, blocks that swing you around, clouds that bounce you up, floors that turn deadly after you touch them, an evil version of you and many more.
You will die a lot in Celeste but you respawn instantly at the start of the screen for another try and apart from later bonus stages, you don't lose to much progress as every new screen acts as a checkpoint. Also, you'll get to listen to the amazing soundtrack by Lena Raine as you work your way through the stage.
There's also a TON of content in Celeste, once you've finished the main story, you can go back and try to collect all strawberries that are located in difficult to reach areas in each stage, then there's the secret B-Side Tapes which unlock a much harder version of the stage, there's hidden hearts as well to unlock extra stages, then there's the C-Sides (short but demanding levels), you can go for golden strawberries (finish each stage without dying) and finally there's Farewell is HUGE level that will test all your acquired skills.

No, I do have the game, but I haven't played it yet.

Correct.

After so many years of delaying playing this one, I finally got around to this game and god what an experience. I played the remastered version ftr, not the new remake as I already owned it and didnt wanna play $70 again lol, but a marvelous game regardless. My highest new entry on the list and with good reason. Been a huge Uncharted fan for years and this finally refines their storytelling capabilities from those games into a perfectly paced and emotional story with moments that are deeply impactful. Probably the best opening to any game I've ever played, a harrowing moment with another father-son pair you meet along the way, and the insane ending were my favorite moments along the way, but its just so good as a whole. One of the few games like this that truly nails a tight pacing and a wonderful story into one of the best I've ever played. Can't wait to get to the sequel!

17: I'm gonna throw Resident Evil 5 out there.
13: The Wonderful 101?
So most of these have been guessed quickly, except #9, which gets another hint. Also added #8.
13 - The American name of this game quite accurately describes what this ball does. Guessed by drbunnig - Kula World (Roll Away)
12 - Even though you are remembered as a great hero by the people and the history of the land, the spirits of the other, real, heroes continue to mock you for being nothing of the sort.
Hint 2: This is because, instead of heroically leading your army to victory, you actually took an arrow to the eye and died during the very first charge. Guessed by Darashiva - MediEvil
11 - I'm not sure you'd want to go here when you're sick. Guessed by drbunnig - Theme Hospital
10 - When you finally get every collectible, you get a reward that very much drives home that doing so was pretty pointless and not necessarily meant to be done. Guessed by Darashiva - The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
9 - This game for some reason, has a lot to do about llama's.
Hint 2: In this one, there's even a cheat that turns your advisors into llama's.
8 - This looks like a 3D game, which it mostly is, but the characters are actually 2D cardboard cutouts. This is especially visible in the victory ceremony where the perspective seems off. Guessed by Veknoid_Outcast - Mario Kart 64
