I remember a few years ago @tbone51 said wonder if Switch physical sofware sales top 20 Can hit 100 Million in Japan. On a later post on the same thread he said no I was overestimating things. But now it doesn't sound that crazy. There is at least 20 games over 1 million. Animal Crossing is over 7 million and the rest of he top 5 over 4 million. The top 15 is over 2 million Considering how quickly Splatoon 3 got to 3 million and the up comming games that might hit 5 million like the new pokemon games The Zelda sequel metroid prime 4 and some surprice hits there is a chance. It needs to average 5 million per game but if enough go over 5 the last few don't have to be that high.

S3s total now must be near enough 5m. 

2022's winning streak comes to an end for Switch but it was predictable since it's going up against OLED release last year. Still very strong numbers.

Solid opening for Nier Automata on Switch given it's a 5 and a half year old port.

Splatoon 3 looks destined to be the best selling Switch game in Japan by the time it's done.

Definitely over. Digital was over 40% at launch. It probably topped 5mil the previous week.

I'm not impressed with Nier performance. But not surprised too.

It was not doing very good on Amazon and COMG preorders, plus, people are still busy purchasing Splatoon 3.
