Hardware sales

Very low week all around. Well XBS holds well by Xbox standards but Switch and PS5 have disappointing sales.

It's easy to forget after the past two years, but this is typically a pretty slow time of year.  While Switch is quite a bit behind last year, it's still the 2nd best week 15 in its lifetime.  Good hold for XBox thanks to Series S, and PS5 still supply constrained.

As for software, I guess Lego Star Wars isn't a big thing in Japan, so not much on that front this week.

Despite a slight drop in sales week over week the Switch still had it's second best week 15 ever. Seems like 60K is the new baseline until Switch sports arrives at the end of April.

60k isn't so bad for Switch but i feel like sales will need something this year. We'll see how aggressive they want to be and if they just want to keep the Switch on cruise control.

MK8D just decides to hop into the top 2.

The NSW is so close to surpassing the 3DS, only 3-4 weeks for it to happen

Kirby and The Forgotten Land keeps killing it, will surely have strong legs.

Zelda BOTW still at #8

I guess we're so used to the NSW pulling 75k-100k sales that 60k feels low, even though the number is not bad when you take into account the whole context of it.

With a 2nd week lower than the previous ones it seems the baseline might now truly decline. March 2020 till March 2022 was one hell of a peak period if that is the case. Also ouch at PS5 sales.

Splatoon 3 will do wonders for Switch in the summer.
