Forums - Gaming - Chrono cross Remaster runs worse on newer hardware than the original on PS1

I'll be playing the OG mode without improvements. I prefer the way the art looks at lower resolutions

Mess, I made this comment before realising that the classic mode runs at 900p. Why is it so hard for them to realise that PS1 graphics at HD resolutions looks like trash. Some may get eye sores of the jaggies, so always give options but lower-res complements the 3D assets much better

Around the Network

Simply ridiculous

Depends on your definition of best. For me, it's about playing them as closely to how they played when they first came out. And nothing gets you as close to that than playing them on the original system, plugged into a CRT.

I can play many games as closely as I could on the older platform on the newer one, only the older platform doesn't allow me to play it with modern resolutions or additional controllers.

I fire up SNES games (one of my favorite platforms) and play them exactly as I could on that platform in the 90s, only better

I've tried, but it's not the same. There's more to playing retro games than just playing the games. It's also about immersion, and trying to recreate the vibe that I experienced as a youth when playing them for the first time.

Also, lag input. I've tried everything under the sun, but I still haven't found anything that is as fast and as accurate as the actual game on a CRT. There's a lot of getting close, but I've yet to find something that can match them 100%. Hopefully someday, that will change because our CRTs are going to die off sooner or later. So there needs to be a solution.
