Which Service do you think is the best value?

PSN+ Premium 12 25.00%

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate 28 58.33%

Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion 8 16.67%

Total:48

They all suck, but that is the world we live in now.

Where is my niche (and not so niche) JRPG Game Pass?

Honestly, I don't think any of those offer best value. Online multiplayer should have never been put behind a paywall.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Literally 20 second google search. Though a fair chunk of them are wrpgs this isn't a comprehensive list but only a "best of"

Probably took longer for you and I to write our respective posts...

From a pure monetary value, the Gamepass is probably the best deal, with PSN+ next, and Switch Online + expansion pack at the bottom. The only one I'm using is PS+, and I might consider Gamepass on PC at some point. Switch Online is good deal as well for just $20, but the expansion pack is a waste of money as it is now.

A pretty small collection of JRPGs there.

Not worth it.

Game Pass Ultimate offers the most bang for your buck.
It has the most amount of monthly releases by a good chunk.
Game Pass has numerous Day 1 releases usually every month(mostly indie).
Day 1 release of notable 3rd party games(MLB The Show 2022, A plagues Tales, sniper Elite 5,Warhammer: Darktides, and more)
Day 1 1st party games of all releases stay indefinitely.
More recent games are added to the service of notable releases.
Xcloud has way more flexibility with being able to play from more devices than PSNow.
Then extra stuff like; Perks, EA Play, Games with Gold, and discounts on all games on the service.

Gamepass is the easy choice and correct answer. Now if you want to talk about which service has the best game on it, Super Mario World is better than anything ever released on a Playstation or Xbox system so Nintendo has the best game that comes with their service.

IGN failed hard on that comparison, GP's biggest attraction is the day 1 MS games... Feels like they deliberately left that out.

Moneywise, Nintendo is the best value. Microsoft highest end is $60 more than Sony's highest end, so lets hope MS continues doing what the fans are loving about their service to justify the price.

But I'm calling this now, MS will start to pull back their Day 1 exclusive games (ie Call of Duty etc..).

I can't see MS making Activision money with their IP if they release everything Day 1 on Gamepass. They're doing it now to lure everyone in at first, but watch, Sony's not doing that because they know you make more money selling the games than on service, and I bet MS will follow. Correction, not follow but have already thought about it as well because I'm sure that's what Phil was hinting at earlier.

Unless someone can tell me that Halo Infinite was a huge success and made a lot of money while being on Game Pass because I felt like that flew off the radar fast.

I could be missing some factors so I'd be happy for anyone to tell me otherwise.

If Sony brings in all the big guns from their previous systems that'd be an advantage because Sony has some serious classics in the PS1-PS2 era. Nintendo has a lot of amazing classics too but they're so dam slow at adding them. Nintendo sure love to tease their fans *cough Metroid Prime 4*

Pretty much and cloud saves too. Baffling the latter is still behind a subscription service on consoles.
