I played it and loved it ❤️

Very nice graphics, I really like how it all blends perfectly. It is very Mario 3D world like, which definitely is a good thing

Hoping for great scores and sales for it ?

Will have to give this a look. Definitely liking the quasi post-apocalyptic vibe. Will be interesting to play a Kirby game in a 3D space as that's been rare up to this point. Hope they manage to differentiate from Mario Odyssey, being another 3D platformer that features power absorption.

For the few reviews that are negative, it seems the most common complaint is lack of challenge, which is kind of dumb. Becasue few outlets docked Elden Ring for being too hard. Kirby is a series that is particular targeted towards a less skilled demographic. I get that some people who are good at games are still going to play them, but if you play something that's not designed for you, you can't then complain it wasn't designed for you.

While I agree with your assessment I did find it a bit misleading when I played the game on "Wild Mode" and the game is still really...REALLY easy. Elden Ring doesn't have difficulty modes, but Forgotten Land does. I am aware that Kirby has generally always been easy but I expected some sort of challenge playing on Wild Mode. There are 2D Kirby games that are more difficult that Forgotten Land in my opinion.

But like you said, I guess I need to realize Kirby isn't designed for me anymore. I think the issue is, this is essentially the Mario 3D World of Kirby. It takes 2D Kirby and adds another dimension. And while it works, it takes 2D Kirby which is traditionally easy, and adds another dimension which makes it even easier. I feel it works for 3D World because the powerups aren't OP and the platforming isn't as inconsequential as it is in Forgotten Land.

This isn't to say the actual gameplay is bad. It's very well designed. But it's just Kirby that I'm used to with an added dimension.

Edit: Before anyone asks, yes I have played the entire game. Mom & Pop shops don't give af.

It's a matter of perspective. Kirby's Dream Land had an unlockable hard mode, but it still wasn't very hard. To the target audience, wild mode may be challenging.

Played the demo. Never played a Kirby game before. Very cute game but not that interesting. Not bad, but just clearly made for children, though I suppose that is Kirby's style?

No difficulty to keep the attention and not much depth to the play. Fun just to see the very cute graphics and suck up stuff but seems obvious lack of gameplay depth and difficulty would lead to lack of interest after much more than the demo length. Still, for people that like that sort of children's gameplay looks like a good entry with how cute everything is and eating the huge stuff like cars and cones was cool. Would have loved if the normal game was under like a "Kid's Mode" setting and then they had a richer experience in an "Adult Mode", but I guess this is one of the few Nintendo games that is actually "kiddie" (edit: Oh I see an above comment saying there is a harder "wild" mode but it is still super easy so not what I mean when I say a richer "adult" mode). For fans of the series I'm sure it is a very solid entry.

Reminds me of target audience for Paper Mario 64. I got that game in the gamecube days for a few bucks, hoping for a spiritual successor to Super Mario RPG, but then I started playing the game and I was like wow this game is clearly made for like 6 year olds, hell I was playing far harder games with far more depth when I was six. That's the vibe I get from Kirby, but it is a super cute game!

I think I'll get the demo, but I'm weeks or months away from getting the game. I want to focus on other games and don't feel like dishing out $59.99+tax right now.
This is just about the only Kirby game I've anticipated, and it will probably be at least good.
