Played the demo. Never played a Kirby game before. Very cute game but not that interesting. Not bad, but just clearly made for children, though I suppose that is Kirby's style?
No difficulty to keep the attention and not much depth to the play. Fun just to see the very cute graphics and suck up stuff but seems obvious lack of gameplay depth and difficulty would lead to lack of interest after much more than the demo length. Still, for people that like that sort of children's gameplay looks like a good entry with how cute everything is and eating the huge stuff like cars and cones was cool. Would have loved if the normal game was under like a "Kid's Mode" setting and then they had a richer experience in an "Adult Mode", but I guess this is one of the few Nintendo games that is actually "kiddie" (edit: Oh I see an above comment saying there is a harder "wild" mode but it is still super easy so not what I mean when I say a richer "adult" mode). For fans of the series I'm sure it is a very solid entry.
Reminds me of target audience for Paper Mario 64. I got that game in the gamecube days for a few bucks, hoping for a spiritual successor to Super Mario RPG, but then I started playing the game and I was like wow this game is clearly made for like 6 year olds, hell I was playing far harder games with far more depth when I was six. That's the vibe I get from Kirby, but it is a super cute game!
