Forums - Sales - PS5 Sales Increase During Horizon Launch Week - Global Hardware Feb 13-19

Considering that last year Nintendo released SM3DW+BF that week, -16.5% from last year is pretty impressive

Every single system is selling more in North America than in Europe or Japan. I live in the US. I can tell you that every time I go to a Walmart, Target, Gamestop, etc... I look at what systems are available and most of them are in limited supply in some way. I have yet to see a Series X, PS5 or Switch OLED at an actual retail store yet. However, Series S and the other Switch systems are pretty easy to find nowadays.

Americans are eager to play every system nowadays.

So Sony held back on to some stock to release alongside Horizon, the way Nintendo often do with their major releases?
Or is hardware getting a bump same week as Forbidden West just a coincidence as sales are entirely dictated by production/shipping?
