".....if russia didn't have nukes"

The issue is.... it does.

Random question. With the shit-show that is US politics resulting in recent momentum swinging in Russian's favour, will the extensive minefields they laid to thwart Ukraine's counteroffensive actually prove a major obstacle to themselves taking more territory?

Yeah, Poland is going nuts on upgrading their military and they were already #1 in NATO spending as a % of GDP. I would not be surprised if Poland develops its own nukes in the future, it isn't something I'm looking forward to, I wish we could have less nukes in the world but Russia shows that isn't a possibility. It just feels likely for Poland if the West lets Ukraine down and almost guaranteed if America pulls back from Europe.

In fact, they're going so nuts that it's getting difficult to understand how Poland will actually pay for all of this. Those 1380 high-tech high-end MBT alone will rip a big hole in the Polish budget, both for acquiring and for maintenance and future upgrades, especially considering that the K2 was often cited as being the most expensive MBT there is. Unless they are planning to send some of these new acquisitions to Ukraine, their military budget would balloon so far that Poland will be forced to make big loans through the next years just for them.

Not really because the Russians should roughly know where they didn't place them and routes forward, also some areas aren't riddled with minefields, they're just soldiers shooting on soldiers or artillery on artillery, Ukraine doesn't have the ammo and so they'll be forced to move back, likely we'll see them lose a lot of ground in the Avdiivka area because the next defensible position is quite far back.

Tatarigami_UA on X: "Russian Telegram channels shared an image purportedly showing Faridun Shamsutdin being electrocuted in his genitals in detention. The casual release of such imagery by law enforcement, coupled with earlier severing of ears, shows the state of russian society.

Telegram channel GREY ZONE (associated with Yevgeny Prigozhin) explained the photo this way: "There is a routine interrogation with the help of a military field phone TA-57 (in common parlance "tapik"), by spinning the coil (inductor handle) are released on the wires discharges of electricity up to 80 volts, which in turn are connected to the prisoner for fingers, ears or genitals, also for better effect the captured militant should be poured with water."

If this shit is turned into a loan then it better be Biden's decision on how/when it is paid back and they better not block the ability to forgive the loan and if it is turning into a loan then Ukraine better be able to ask for whatever the fuck they want, if you're going to screw Ukraine over with a loan then you better send them ATACMS.

That disgusting orange slob will be bragging about how he got people fighting for their lives to owe massive debts to America.

Russia sure is making a great attempt at making me feel pity for for actual terrorists. For what considers itself a civilized country, this is just bizarre, although sadly it hasn't been surprising for a while now.
