Here's a more accurate map :

So far the only major city that has fallen to Russian is Kherson, but even then the locale population is standing up and protesting strongly.

It took some digging to find where that map comes from, apparently it comes from pro-Russian sources, Lol.

So with that in mind I'm not even bothering to form a reply on it.

I guessed that from all the Russian writing on it.

Heh, Lol.

Yeah, I found the site too, Russian site, whining about Ukrainian Neo-Nazis and parroting the conspiracy theory that America has biolabs in Ukraine to use against Russia.

So yeah, garbage source.

Not just that, but they think we are capable of making viruses that target specific ethnic groups of humans. They think we are geniuses in the west, you can't make this up!

I was also skeptical of that image and did a bit of digging a few hours ago.

Following a reverse image search I eventually stumbled across a website called "russophile". When I went to this website my browser tab immediately closed by itself and a file "rw6w8frq" started downloading itself to my PC. I removed my ethernet cable before the file could finish downloading and then I cleared my browser cache/history/data. Very sus.

Sounds like this would be a perfect time for Belarusians to express their displeasure with Lukashenko being a Putin puppet.

Zelensky would be wise to 'negotiate' a peace as Isreal suggested and quickly. Because he's running out of time. Most of his army is knocked out, surrounded or defeated.

At this point, he still has something to give Moscow. Another week of two and he has nothing to negotiate over.

What kind of nonsense pro Russian propoganda is this?

1) Just because they shade an area in as a color does not mean there aren't pockets, if not massive resistance in those areas still. There have been reports, on numerous occasions, of Russians losing territory they claimed as there's mere days later from Ukrainians.

2) The Russians have lost roughly 12,000 troops, the Ukrainians only roughly 1,500, not including injuries on either side. The Ukrainians, in addition to a massive military remaining functional, also have a tens of thousands, perhaps even hundreds of thousands of armed citizens and foreign legion soldiers defending numerous areas and more allies come in all the time. Their own military has started turning down new recruits because they have so many volunteers they don't have enough guns to give.

3) Kyiv alone has over 70,000 official Ukranian troops defending it, not including citizens with weapons, and they have the high ground. To take the cities with the defenses Ukraine has and the troops they have, the Russians would need an invasion force probably 3-5 times larger than they invaded with, unless Ukrainians were running away. But all signs point to Ukraine troops holding their positions and taking out 8 Russian soldiers for every 1 Ukranian soldier dying. And that's not including the massive amounts of Russian defections and self sabotage on their own equipment due to not wanting to kill people they identify as brothers.

Darn, you have been sipping on the motherload of hopium, my friend. That's not healthy. You'll be disappointed. Hope can be very cruel.

You really think that an Ukranian solder has a 8 to 1 kill ratio... i just don't know what to write about that statement. I know this is a gaming website, but this is happening in real life with real people.

Russia is only leaning on Ukraine at the moment. They are marching through Ukraine with their outnumbered B Team. They haven't even used their regular heavy equipment yet like mass artillery and bombers, and control 40% already.

In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.

So, what you try to tell us is that Putin doesn't use his best equipment and instead just gives his soldiers the old shit? So Putin does sacrifice way more sons of Mother Russia as he has to because the financial costs or whatever are more important than the life of the own people?

Dude, that would be an even bigger reason to keep fighting against him because a guy who shits on his own soldiers will be a nightmare for Ukraine even if Ukraine would give up.

And btw that should maybe tell Russians more about Putin as the West could. I at least would never support a leader holding the good equipment back while soldiers of my country die.

And I have a feeling to know who you "support" more in this war

I didn't say I was glad about the ratio. Any death here is tragic, but it is a historic fact that defending sides tend to take less losses, many times numerous times less losses, than the attacking sides. They know the terrain, the buildings, they have walls, sandbags, sewers they can pop out of, they know the right roofs to snipe off of, etc. Attacking forces are exposed the whole time.

Russia could avoid many casualties by just bombing the major cities, but then the entire economic value of capturing Ukraine and absorbing it into Russia's economy goes out the window. Putin wants Ukraine in as valuable of a state as possible, and therefore he can't go bombing cities like Hitler. Just targeted locations. So he has to do a siege to starve them out or land invasion and sustain tons of casualties. The problem with the siege is it takes a while and time is not on their side between massive economic hardship on their own people from sanctions and their own troops desertion.

That map was wrong, they don't control that much of Ukraine, and again, even in the areas they do seemingly control, they are dealing with insurgents constantly.

Yet another example that just because you had troops there at some point, and don't now, doesn't mean you retain control over the area, like some people think.
