PS5 looks to be about right. I still think it’s a little undertracked. I bet 19M will be reported in the financial report February 1st.

I don't think Switch will remain flat with 2021 this year, but I do think its strong lineup and the continued mindshare and compounding evergreen catalog that comes from that will prevent a big drop and give it a very respectable 6th calendar year.

i don't understand who is buying the switch at this point.. is it because they can;t get a hold of the ps5/series x? those ps5 numbers in japan sadden me.

Considering Switch has the most exclusives despite a lack of western 3rd party support, you can play your games portably or on the go as you please, and many Japanese devs seem to be migrating to it over Playstation consoles outside of mainly SE and Capcom (who still offer their own exclusive games on Switch anyway)...it really isn't hard to understand.

And lets not forget that Switch also hasn hands down the best indie support out of all three consoles, for those into that type of game.  And if we are talking about Japan...you only need to be familiar to the preferences of the Japanese market to understand why Nintendo pretty much owns the region.

People that didn't own one before, people that owned one but sold it or it broke and they want a new one, people that have other family members that want their own device after seeing how fun it is.
