Following up on my Game Series You've Been Meaning to Try thread - I'm interested in what game series that you have played every mainline entry?

I'll leave it up to you to determine what counts as a mainline entry and what counts as a spinoff. Go nuts. I'm not the police. The only rule is that the series obviously needs to have more than one game.

For me its a rather small list.

I have played all 4 numbered Uncharted games plus the Lost Legacy and Golden Abyss. I did not play the card game.

I have played all the God of War games released so far (I, II, III, CoO, GoS, Ascension, GOW 2018).

I have played all 4 New Super Mario Bros. game, but not necessarily every 2D Mario game.

I have also played both Bayonetta games and plan on playing Bayonetta 3 once it release.

Bonus question: What game series do you plan to play every entry in but haven't gotten around to yet?

For me its, Bioshock, Metal Gear Solid, Killzone, TLOU, inFamous, and Kingdom Hearts are a few.

Mother (EarthBound) Trilogy
All Uncharted games, but also not the card game. It was delisted a while ago anyway, and barely counts.
Super Smash Bros.
The Last of Us: Just barely a series, since there's only two. Played the first remastered and with its dlc, and played the second.
Marvel's Spider-Man: Barely a series yet, plan on playing 2 after it releases on PS5.
POWGI: Pretty sure I've played every single POWGI game available on PS4, which I'm pretty sure is every POWGI game.
All New Super Mario Bros. titles
All 3D Mario games (The 5 plus 3D Land/World)
Animal Crossing: I've played every main series title. The N64/GameCube release is still pretty much one game, so playing just the GameCube release counts.
South Park Duology
The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series
Bonus question:
Life Is Strange. I wanna play 2 and True Colors. I played the original and the prequel.

Very few if you count their handheld counterparts like Mario, Zelda on gameboy/ds and Uncharted on psp. I'll just go with series that have at least 3 games. I'm sure I'm missing a few series that I'm not thinking about off the top of my head.

Monkey Island

If we are only talking just consoles and don't include handhelds than it adds series.
Super Mario (every mainline 2D and 3D games
Zelda (every console game except the cdi games)
Uncharted
Mario Kart

This thread title got me thinking, and I was surprised when I realized how few game series I have played every entry for. If you don’t count mobile and arcade spin-offs, then the only one I can think of off the top of my head for consoles is Halo.

On PC, there are a few more. Some of them don’t have that many entries, but they are:

Starcraft
Total War (all mainline titles, none of the saga spin-offs)
Counter Strike

Honestly that’s about it. Every other series I have played a ton of, there has usually been one title in it I have skipped for whatever reason. I did not play the Warlords of Draenor expansion for World of Warcraft, nor did I play Warcraft 1 and 2. I did not play Gears Judgement for Gears of War, I did not play the first Forza Motorsport, never played Battlefield hardline (but played all the others), didn’t play fallout 1 or 2, didn’t play any Elder Scrolls before III.

Just so many series where I only missed out on 1 or 2 games

Definitely gonna forget some stuff but

Every 3D Mario Game to completion
Every Uncharted game except Lost Legacy (which will change once the collection comes out)
Every FNAF game lmao (do not recommend this, especially the new one which sucks)
Every Telltale Walking Dead Game (and most of the telltale games in general actually)
Every Henry Stickmin game
And then yeah probs a bunch of small franchises like Portal, Spider-Man, etc but idrk if I can count that

I also own every RE game now but I need to play through 3-6

Mario Kart, 2D Mario, 3D Mario, mainline Kirby and most spinoffs, Marvel vs Capcom (not necessarily every port), 2D Metroid (not including Other M which is apparently part of that cannon), Bayonetta, Mass Effect (played Andromeda for about 2 hours), Bioshock, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Mega Man Zero/ZX, Smash Bros, Xenoblade Chronicles (minus Torna), Kid Icarus, Donkey Kong Country, probably some others I forgot.

Tomb Raider (including the handheld and Lara Croft spin offs)
Yoshi
Super Mario (2D and 3D platformers)
Doom
Dino Crisis

May be a few more, but those are the ones that come to mind (that have more than two games in the series).

Mario games., street fighter, assassin creed games, far cry, crysis, metro games, bioshic games, Prince of Persia, killzoje, god of war, silent hill, gears of war, halo, fable, doom, quake, ratchet and clsnk, jak and dexter, crash bandicoot, xenogears, final fantasy, tomba, legend of drgaoon, breath of fire, parasite eve, klonoa, zelda, gta to name a few

If we count series that only had 2 games, the list will be too long for me to bother. So for series with a lot of games I guess I can say I have played all

I played:

- Every Metroid game (2D, 3D and spin offs like Pinball and Federation Force)
- Every mainline Pokémon game (one of each pair + third versions)
- Every Jak and Daxter game (including Lost Frontier and X)
- Every 3D Mario game (including 3D Land and World)
- All 3 Golden Sun games
- Every Wario Land game
- Every Rhythm Paradise game (including Tengoku)
- Every Zelda game (including handheld entries)
- All three Xenoblade games (plus Torna)
- Every main Crash Bandicoot games
- Every Professor Layton game (including Lady Layton and Layton VS Ace Attorney)

That's all I can think from the top of my head
