-Sonic Colors: Ultimate to see if the Sonic games are still popular in Japan

Still? Lol. Sonic has never been a popular franchise in Japan.
Momotaro, more like Monster-taro. The third party titan almost nobody saw coming. It's gonna sell over 3 million in a single country on a single platform, that's incredible.

Top 10 Publishers:
Next week will be key for Bandai Namco, as so far this year they've really fallen behind and are mainly carried by their Switch efforts and the evergreen status of Taiko & Fishing Spirits. Personally I expect that Tales of Arise is going to end up the biggest launch on the PS Ecosystem, outperforming Resident Evil: Village:
[PS4] Resident Evil Village (Capcom) - 111.171 / NEW <40-60%>
[PS5] Resident Evil Village (Capcom) - 38.713 / NEW <40-60%>
The PS5 version needs to crack 40K next week in order to make the Top 50 and become the second PS5 game to do so... I'm personally not thinking it will make it as WarioWare is also launching and should outsell it next week. Knowing the strength of the PS5 legs for example Resident Evil: Village has not managed to sell it's initial shipment despite being 50% off I dont think retailers ordered much hoping not to have a repeat situation.
My prediction for the Tales launch is PS4 - 135K & PS5 - 35K, this will be a decline compared to Tales of Berseria which managed 160K on the PS4 and 74K on the PS3 back in 2016. A lot has changed since than, and the PS ecosystem in Japan has had a huge decline compared to last year making it difficult for me to envision any game managing a launch with over 150K physical sales. I expect the initial shipment for the game on the PS4 to be around 200K while the PS5 to only have a 60K shipment. I think there will be a second shipment for the PS4 and PS5 this year with the sales of Tales of Arise surpassing 200K on the PS4 and 70K on the PS5 making it the best selling game on the PS ecosystem this year.
The other game launching next week is WarioWare, usually these games don't have big launches for WarioWare I still expect it to be in the 50-100K range thus making the Top 50. It's lower price and holidays coming I can see it surpassing 300K this year, long term I think the title can surpass WarioWare: Smooth Moves on the Wii which managed 658K physical sales lifetime. Depending on WoM I can see it performing like Clubhouse Games: 51 which is heading for 1 million lifetime sales.
I'm expecting big numbers for arise
Ps5 third party japanese support seems to be fine from what I've seen as japanese megaliths (SE and Sega) are not only getting games ready for the system but sony is getting almost all their games as full console exclusives or at the very least timed exclusives

Clubhouse Games actually already sold over 1M in Japan including digital. The higher digital may be in part due to it's lower price.
