Well in nz its hard to get ps5 so I have been enjoying myself with series x and switch. So far switch is hands down the better console compared to ps5 and series x and s

Around the Network

I usually get all the consoles as I work on the PC way to much to game on it even though I built a gaming PC not to long ago. This is the only gen I actually did not purchase a Nintendo console so no Switch in the house. None of my kids play Nintendo games and I haven't been motivated to get the system. I currently have a PS5 and Series X which I gave my son my PS4 Pro and One X. The thing for me is competition. I like it when MS is the underdog because when they get on top, they hire someone like Don Mattrick that totally miss the mark in what is a good console. I like it when Sony feels competition because then they produce something like the PS4 and the PS5, especially the controller. Competition is good when we get both companies striving for our dollars.

I'm about 99% PC only. I still try to keep up with Nintendo and Xbox though.

Switch used to be my main, until the lack of eventful software in last 2 years finally hit me and now I'm backtracking all titles I left behind for PS4

I'm giving my current Switch for my cousing this week and will be left without a Switch for a few months, I'm planning to get a OLED but no signs of the damn thing to be released in Brazil. Maybe I'll end just buying a regular Switch because I still have some backlog and I want to play upcoming games like Metroid Dread, SMT V, BOTW 2, Splatoon 3, etc

Most of japanese games I like (Souls games, Resident Evil, and all JRPGs) are on PS4, so me getting a PS5 eventually is a given even if I don't care much for western third party output. No rush for it though, no plans to got one before 2023

The fact the PS5 has BC are making me buy most of third parties on PS4, as I don't know if Switch 2 will have it (I bet it will, but I don't wanna risk losing my library so fast)

But overall I just feel third parties games are better on PS4 compared to Switch. I'm not talking about ports, but my feelings are third parties put more effort on Sony systems compares to Nintendo systems if this makes sense. Square Enix output is specifically superior to PS4. I realize the games are better when they are released for all platforms (Immortal Fenyx Rising, Crash 4) than when they are tailor made for Switch which is indeed VERY odd

I opted for a Switch this past gen and I don't really play on it. I guess its a little too lo-fi for me and games not really to my tastes, outside a select few. More than satisfied with my current systems - PC, PS5 and Switch though. Currently clearing my backlog of games on PC/PS5/4.. some of which I've been sitting on for some time. But, I'm still waiting for that game to blow me away like the next God of War. Maybe next year! *fingers crossed*
