I have no agenda. One cannot argue that the software numbers of VGchartz shows a large disparity to those of NPD.

If I had an agenda I wouldn't be writing paragraphs pointing out some flaws in the sites administration such as untargeted ads and amazons low commission rates.

In my experience, comission junction isn't very good. Sure, it might be a higher rate per sale but games are what people are interest in, so better to have 100 sales at $2 than 1 sale that generates $20. In general, I like google the best. They have a much smaller % of annoying ads, and if you use them consistently in the same pages they tend to do a decent job of rotating in new ads, etc... That said, given that most people on this site are into video games, and video games tie in nicely with amazon store, I think the amazon ads add value to the site instead of being a problem. They also are not annoying taking ads. IMO, I would rather tolerate several ads on each page that don't do flash than an annoying ad on every other page.

 One also cannot argue that the numbers haven't been getting better, and that maybe if Ioi had someone else working on the site/more money to hire out work he would be able to spend more time getting retailers and making his sample set better.

 As it is, though, I find it hard to think of a time when Ioi's overall software trends didn't mesh with NPD/MC/et all to an acceptable degree.  The exact number may not be the same, but they tend to match pretty closely if you look at overall trends, and rarely (although it does happen) don't mesh up with company statements.  It's pretty good for his small sample set, and I have confidence that if he keeps working at it they will get much better.

Right on! The numbers can not be argueed.  VGchartz has proven itslef to be accurate.

Comission rates mean nothing if things don't sell.

 That's the whole point!. WE DONT WANT TO BE NPD. We don't want to have their figures. Can you give me that link that proves NPD is 100% accurate? I'm gonna wait right here for it.

I love how you say we need to improve our numbers and then imply that we also have to do so for free. If you don't like ads, get off the internet.

We are always looking into other advertising options but things have been a little hectic here lately. Rest assured we do not need you lecturing us on what we should or shouldn't do.

I don't think the ads in VGchartz are too bad, I see some sites where theres way more ads and pop up ads appear everytime I visit them, so the ads aren't too bad
