Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp Announced for Switch, Launches December 3rd

I'll pick this up for sure, since I love the Advance Wars series as well.  Hopefully if it sells well, Nintendo will see it worth while to develop an all new installment for the Switch.  Better yet, maybe they are already working on one, and this is to drum up interest in the series.

I will buy this as soon as it comes out. I want Nintendo to know that there are people anxious to pay for more Advance Wars. Hopefully this will lead to a new game.

I would buy this if the 3D part didn't look so bland.

I never played it before, but will likely check it out.

Right there with you. I'm perfectly fine with the art direction as well, especially if this ends up at a budget price.

I've been wanting to go back and finish an AW2 campaign that I started a couple of years ago, but my GBA is so bruised and tired that I have to make virgin sacrifices to it in order to get it to read cartridges at this point. Now I can wait for this!

I agree, the 3D looks quite unfinished. I was hoping for either 2D sprites or full on animesque drawings. I imagine the development of this was quite rushed due to the corona, and they needed a game to fill this year's schedule fast.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

After what Super Mario Maker did with its control over various art styles on the fly, and Dragon Quest 11 on 3DS allowing you to see 3D and 2D at once, I wish more games would give you the option to go back and forth being 2D and 3D.

Awsome games, especially the second one. Here's hoping it sells well and leads to an actual new entry being made.

Happy that they're bringing this great franchise back, this was the biggest surprise for me this direct.

Definitely excited for this one. Loved the first, but never got around to buying the second back in the day. Would love to revisit the series, and hope it means more Advance Wars may come out someday.

I haven't gotten into Fire Emblem, so I was always hoping this would make a comeback.
