I hope they keep being independent, it's the best outcome. But if they have to be sold, I guess Microsoft is the best option.

I actually think MS would be better for this one. I mean Sony sure has proven that they dont care much about the Japanese market anymore.

And have MS showed the opposite?

Square Enix on MS basically means the death for all of their JP-focused IPs as Xbox is irrelevant in Japan and PC gaming is very niche compared to console gaming

Overall Square Enix has much better synergy with Nintendo and Sony, Xbox system isn't exactly a console full of other JRPGs games
