Yup in the UK Xbox digital sales are much higher than physical sales. Series S being more available than the Series X while it’s the opposite for the PS5 and PS5 digital edition.

Well that sure explains COD. How about the other games? Any data for their digital?

65-70% is usually PS's split on physical Western games. Japanese games in the UK have a 85-90% physical on PS.
With digital it may result in 60% for Western games and 70-80% for JP games (???) (Still going through the monthly data is check this which inc digital)
This is all in Xbox's 2nd largest market. If these are the UK splits, WW splits will be approaching 70% for Western games and 80% for JP games.

We can already see this.


Ubisoft with digital is 65+%. Capcom physical only is 80+%. Both WW.

Depends on the Japanese game. Games that have been big in the west like RE will skew 65:35 but most Japanese games are in the 70:30, 80:20 ballpark in the UK while Western games are in the 55:45 to 60:40 ballpark in the UK .

2020: PS 82%:18% XB

2021: PS 83%:17% XB

With digital % being higher we can't forget publishers get more money from digital sales over physical sales, no doubt they actually like the trend of most sales being in that format with xbox.
