Started using Price Charting not too long ago.

Crazy to see the value of certain games skyrocket over the years, including ones you bought for MSRP or cheaper, as well as games that were once common as dirt *stares at Pokemon Black/White 2*

Oh my god, if you want to talk about games skyrocketing in price look at the first two Paper Mario games. I remember buying TTYD for $15 back in like 2012 and now it's selling for 10x that price.

true, or maybe a tie with the ps1. It had the best games, and companies weren't profiting off online gaming and free to play, in game credits and downloads and such, so we got more single player games releasing, plus there was no call of duty back than and battlefield, devs took more risk and people were playing more variety of games.

CoD and Battlefield existed on PS2

Here's my collection. https://www.pricecharting.com/offers?seller=z7k4dvglkmyknuh74nsmqtjoeq&status=collection

And here's my wishlist: https://www.pricecharting.com/wishlist?user=z7k4dvglkmyknuh74nsmqtjoeq

Just scroll down to the PS2 section on each list, and you'll be able to see what 86 games I have in mind for my full collection.

It would be interesting to see a list of PS2 games that are playable on PS3/PS4, cross-sectioned with my own list of 86 games.

Just a few of your wishlist I wouldn't play on PS2 hardware but on different systems:

Most God of War, Ratchet&Clank, Sly Raccoon, Jak&Daxter games have HD-versions on PS3 and/or PS4. Most PS2-Final-Fantasy games also have HD-versions on a lot of newer systems. The PS3-collection of Shadow of the Colossus / ICO is also much better than the PS2 versions of these two games.

No RE4 on this list.. id assume you missed it?

I still say a launch ps3, but that's because it can play all ps1/2/3 games. So I don't really disagree with you.

Yeah, I keep forgetting that launch PS3's can run PS2 games with HDMI.

PS2 is king just for SSX3 alone.
