Forums - Sales - When will the Switch outsell the PS4?

Next year.

Around the Network

October is the most likely I think, maybe November.

We have 13.5M -ish difference. Just at looking at Switch's last year numbers, that's mid-October. However, this includes Switch OLED launch and I very much doubt that we'll see no drop in YoY sales, plus PS4 will add some units in that time (around 500k).

IMO, somewhere between Black Friday and New Year, so Nov-Dec 22 from the poll.

Never, sales will fall of a cliff after reaching 116.82M.

Nintendo's current forecast will have the NS at around 107m by the end of March, under current momentum it'll catch PS4 by the end of September and pass it in October.

Around November, but it very well could happen in late September or October.

In cases like this i rather see a new thread with a link referencing the old one  instead of resetting the poll. Poll resetting is not a good practice and should be avoided in my opinion.

We have to be careful about being too optimistic. The system is already slowing down in Japan and Nintendo can only release so many more revisions. If Sony had the luxury of doing the same with a fanbase as receptive, they would be ahead of the PS2.

I think it's not that bad if a screen shot of the old poll results is posted for example.

It's good idea. Next time, since now the previous poll results are gone.

This proves my point.
