The others might use the razor and blades model but it would only be true for Nintendo if the blades lasted 5-10yrs and could still be resold for 80-90% of their original price.

If you don't like the price then don't buy the game or wait for a sale. Pricing decisions are made based on what they think the business outcome will be for them.
Nintendo should overhaul the graphics and split it into 3 full priced games... wait what? Square is already doing that?

"Blades" durability doesn't define the razor and blades model, what defines it is making the buyer spend a lot more on "blades" than on "razors", and every console make applies it. Ninty main difference is using a more prudent and thrifty version of the model, as it very, very rarely sells the "razor" at a loss.
"Blades" durability would make the business model get out of the razor and blades model only if "blades" were made so that very few were needed to satisfy users needs through the "razor" whole life.
One possible more evil version of the model is taking old blades, sharpening them a little and selling them again to the same users at new blade price.
