Yeah Prime 2 in particular looked stunning on Gamecube, and Prime 3 was one of the very best looking games on Wii. It's hard for me to get too excited about Prime 4 though when it's coming up on 4 years since it was announced and we've still seen absolutely nothing but a title card. It feels like it'll never be out.

As I've said, the rumored RE game for Switch coming either late this year or early next could be a contender, Capcom tends to like to push graphical boundaries with the series.

The announced port of World War Z could also be a real system pusher; Saber say bringing it to Switch is one of the hardest things they've had to do, and that's coming from the team that ported Witcher 3.

I think there was a restart on Metroids development... But not sure how accurate that ingo is.

Yeah, you keep repeating your first post because that's all you have. Or think you have, I tell you again that your initial affirmation can be easily interpreted in a different way. Specially after the harsh, flat out statement that is "it's the worst way to play it". Hey, I'll join you, let's copy your favourite quote again, but this time, I'll put the first statement over the part you quoted:

I am telling you that your "interpretation" is wrong. You can either believe me... Or don't. That's really up to you.
The first post went over specifics, stop glossing over them to misconstrue my statements to be something they aren't, that's logically fallacious.

What's bolded doesn't negate the absolute sense of the first sentence "it's the worst way to play it". It's more like "it"s the worst way to play it, but let's remember that it's a great technical achievement". While you are indeed mentioning technical aspects, those doesn't affect the meaning of the first sentence at all.

You are agreeing I am talking about technical aspects, so there... Issue resolved and you can finally move on with something constructive now instead of arguing for the sake of arguing.

And thething is... if we read your favourite paragraph with the context of the first one, it reads something like this:

"well, since it doesn't has cutting edge graphics or great performance, it will only be enjoyed if you really want to play it on portable. And even then there are better options. So it really is the worst option to play the game"

That is not what I said though? That is what you have said.

"It is the worst way to play.

PC has portability covered. But don't take my word for it (shows table with portable PCs).

Gyro controls are found on other platforms also."

If, as you say, were only talking about framerates and graphics... Why did you bite the bone and engaged with me in a discussion about gyro controls and portability? I mean, in your third post you stopped that discussion by saying that you were only talking about framerates and resolutions. But that was clearly not the case, because just one post earlier we were talking about those very things (gyro and portability).

Because I absolutely can? You cannot try and assert something as a selling point when other platforms have it... Thus all that's left is the technical differences.

But you know. Logic and all that.

Vodacixi said:

In fact, if we take a look at this quote, we can se how you reiterate your point "it's the worst way to play" and then proceed to defend that statement by saying that those features I say the Switch has over other platforms can be found on other platforms. You are arguing with me about the Switch being the worst way to play the game and in order to do it, you try to prove that my statement is innacurate. My statement about gyro controls and portability. The one you keep saying it has nothing to do with your sentence "it's the worst way to play the game". Only it does.

If you re-writing my quote to twist it into your own definition is somehow "me" loosing the debate... Well. Egg is on your face buddy.

That is just fake news.

The fact is, from a technical aspect, the Switch is the worst way to play the game.

But if this is just going to be a back and forward bitch fest... I am ending this discussion here and now as it seems you are taking the issue with me as an individual rather than discussing the topic at hand.

Oh, you still on about this? I don't care anymore...

You clearly misunderstood him, and you even admitted in one of your first replies to him that it may be due to your current english level...

So why are you still arguing after he specifically explained to you what was already understood by most everyone others here?

What is it that you seek to achieve here by continuing to argue what you had already lost on your first reply to him?

I was playing dumb. But I see with your comment that experts on being dumb are not able to see the difference between playing dumb and the real thing. Anyway, don't bore me with your presence. Thanks.

Can you play something else?

I could play smart if you wish. But I don't think you could keep up with me... So I'll spare you.

If you want to continue this hilarious back and forth, please do it on private. I've already derailed this thread enough myself.

Prime 4 was restarted under Retro studios in early January 2019, so over 2 years ago now.

As far as other upcoming system pushers, there's also Apex Legends I suppose, an 8th gen battle royale game with pretty large and open levels, getting that to run on Switch in a state on par with Doom Eternal would be an admirable feat.

Are you serious? You are the one who went on and on about this stupid non-argument. This may in fact be the most pointless argument I've seen on this board and that's saying a lot. Just stop embarrassing yourself with the "I'm so much smarter than anyone else" schtick, please.

Yes, I am serious. It's been almost a week since we started this discussion. At some point it has to end. He thinks he's right. I think I'm right. This is not gonna go anywhere. We are both repeting the same things over and over. And since it took him two days to send his last reply... I pretty much moved on by then. So no, I'm not interested anymore.

But you are right: regardless of who is right... In retrospective it was a pretty pointless conversation. And I was the one who kept it alive pretty much... And with it I derailed a good thread. Also, you are right: I really lacked humbleness in some of my responses.

So... To anyone I may have bothered with this stupid topic... Pemalite, curl-6, yourself... I'm sorry. I'll make sure it won't happen again.

Cheers!

For those interested in technical matters, DF have just posted an in-depth interview with Panic Button and Id software about making the port:
