Forums - Gaming Discussion - Absolutely Every PlayStation 5 is Sold, Says PlayStation CEO

Strong News for all Console-Players and Fans:

PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan in an interview with TASS was asked about how well the PS5 has sold in its launch and as expected the PS5 has sold out everywhere it is available. He is working right now to increase the supply of the console to try to meet the high demand. Even if it is difficult in Corona times, we are trying to make millions more consoles available as soon as possible - so Sony.

"Everything is sold. Absolutely everything is sold", said Ryan.

Well, that's almost always true for every console launch. Demand for a new piece of hardware will always outstirp demand, given that only a few millions are produced for the first few months.Especially for the holidays. The real test will begin in March/April.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Yeah stores here already posted they won't have any stock until next year (both xbox and ps5). Back to FS 2020

With one difference: There are no PS5-consoles in the store on the market! Alone the pre-orders apparently broke records already. There have been reports of UK retailers struggling to cope with the high demand for the PS5 on its launch day. Retailer GAME had to introduce a queue system, which saw wait times of over an hour and retailer Curry's had a queue that saw over 200,000 people waiting. https://www.vgchartz.com/article/446358/uk-retailers-struggling-with-ps5-demand-on-launch-day/ That's incredible. Sony could perhaps sell 5-7 million more PS5's worldwide in this short time if Corona didn't exist and many more consoles could be produced. @Nauti lus

Sooo why wont he give any numbers? Surely he knows how much they produced, and if it was all sold out he would have the numbers.

Well, it all comes down to the Exclusive Games Lineup during 2021, and so far its way better than PS4 Lineup in 2014

I think he is waiting Monday to reveal the first week of sales summed.

Everything was sold... to the scalpers

I'm expecting 2 - 3 Million first week for the PS5.
