Who? I watched the first minute of it and all I have to say is that if you care about CoD, then you belong with Xbox. That franchise stopped being good about ten years ago.

The deals have changed. The hardcore CoD audience moved to PS last gen. PS still has the CoD contracts so expect it to be the same again this gen.

Any real evidence of that?

Currently CoD sells better on the PS than the Xbox. The marketing deals obviously helped.

According to vgchartz sales data the attach ratio for Black Ops 4 is higher on Xbox than it is on PS4.

Call of Duty is a little overhyped, but that's the way it is with big game series. At the end of the day, if the game you are playing is good, it's good. There is no real guarantee that the next CoD game will be amazing or thrash.

All the systems have lots of games and to be honest if PS has games that Xbox doesn't (and vice-versa), that makes the choice much more fun than those stupid side-by-side spot-the-difference videos on YouTube we get to wade through these days...

Most of the audience shuffles around. Last gen is was Xbox, this gen its PS.

Right, but Xbox still has the higher attach ratio. Gotta see the forest for the trees man.

Attach ratio doesn't really mean anything though.

PS4 has sold more than doubled Xbox One. Do you really think PS4 COD sales need to more than double Xbox COD sales before PS4 is the main platform for COD fans? Because that's just silly.

I don't think many CoD fans stop and go "Gee, which platform is better for playing CoD?" They simply buy whatever console is obviously better, and CoD comes along for the ride. They stop and look at which console is cheaper, which console has more games, etc. But despite that Xbox has a higher attach ratio of CoD players.

And more bought a PS4 to play COD on...

The fact is that more people play COD on PS4 than Xbox. Meaningless statistics (as attach rate is, it has no value whatsoever) doesn't change that.

They didn't buy it to play CoD on though. They bought it for other reasons and CoD came along for the ride.

That's just a baseless assumption.

I could easily say that the Xbox COD owners didn't buy the console for COD too, they bought it for other reasons and just got COD while they were at it.

It's not a baseless assumption. History has shown that price, and games library matters to your average consumer far more than which console plays CoD or other multiplats better.

Why bother commenting on something you clearly know nothing about. It doesn't seem like you have played COD in a while either.

Nearly everybody I know who use to play COD on xbox now does so on the PS, JUST because of the exclusive early access. I don't think you realise how relevant COD still is. And all they play is COD & Fifa...

Everyone knows PS is the place to be for COD now.

Anecdotal evidence + the "Every schoolboy knows" fallacy.

@Ka-pi96 I never specifically stated that CoD was more popular on Xbox. I merely took a dig at it being a bad game, and then said that since it's a bad game Xbox users should like it more. I then cast doubt on Azzanation's claim by pointing out that Xbox has a higher CoD attach ratio.

I stand by my stance that CoD isn't more popular on either console. People just buy whatever console is obviously better and CoD comes along for the ride. If PS4 had both higher CoD sales, and a higher CoD attach ratio, I'd agree that CoD was more popular with PS fans. But that simply isn't true.

But anyway this thread was lame from the start. So I'm out.
