Will you get Mario Kart Home Circuit?

It requires every player to have a (unique) car (100$) and their own switch.
Theres probably little fun in playing 1-2 people with it, so you ll need 3-4 people with Switch's, and the same amount of cars (x100$).

It seems expensive to get to try this game out, vs just playing a Real Mario Kart game, and getting a extra controller.
Feels gimmicky imo, and really expensive.

*edit: also theres no speed penality for going off track.... so people will likely just ignore the tracks, and head strait for the gates.

If I had a bigger living room and hardwood floors, I'd definitely consider it. Right now, though, I simply have nowhere to put the thing.

Also unless you have like 4 people, that ll come over and reguarly join in, its kinda pointless right?
Not everyone at our age, has buddies that come over and bring their switches when they do.
And/or are willing to each spend 100$+ on a toy car for a video game.

Unsure.  I really want to get this, but I need a full review first.  I really want to know how durable it is, how it handles carpet, will it work in my setup, etc...?  Looks very fun, but I want to make sure I'm getting my money's worth.

No way

Just started my Ring Fit regimen yesterday (loving it) and when my girlfriend asked what I wanted for my birthday I told her Mario Kart Circuit Live. It'll make that $99 price tag a bit more bearable. I hope individual cars might be less expensive so she can get a Luigi car, but haven't ready any details on that. And my birthday month will be topped off nicely with Pikmin 3 on the 30th. She's never played a Pikmin game and I'm super excited to give the multiplayer a try. Overall, it should be a pretty exciting month gaming wise.

Nah, too expensive and not enough room in my place.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

I don't really understand it. Can you play (virtually, obviously) on courses other than the one you set up right on front of you?

It wouldn't make any sense to attempt this if they could.  It's an actual RC Car and it actually runs around in your livingroom.  The car wouldn't be able to match a random course created in the game to match the design of your personal setup (couch, tables, other furniture, walls, etc).

Personally, I'm going to take it more places than just my house.  I operate a furniture store.  That'll be one of the first places I try. You could also set it up on a basketball court, a parking lot, a skate park, or wherever else you feel like setting it up.  Mind you, all of this will take some time and energy.  I'm curious about the crazy youtubers and what they'll end up trying/creating.

You don't need hardwood floors; in the developer interviews they confirmed they made sure it worked on carpet, and you could also use an outdoor area like a car park or something.
