What do you think was the best year for the 7th generation consoles, and why?

EDIT: 8th gen games in 2012 or 2013 like Mario 3D World or Link Between Worlds don't count, this is meant as just for 7th gen systems.

7th gen not 8th gen

2013. TLOU, GTA V, Bioshock Infinite, I loved SR4, Tomb Raider properly returned, Injustice was great. The COD game that year sucked though, but we actually got a splinter cell game and a new gran turismo.

2009 comes in as a close second though.

Uncharted 2, Arkham Asylum, MW2, Assassins Creed 2, Borderlands, Left 4 dead 2, Killzone 2, Infamous, A crack in time, Bayonetta. It's pretty much a tie but I preferred the games on 2013 a bit more.

2013, for all the games mentioned above. Plus The Legend of Zelda: A Link between Worlds.

I'd definitely give consideration to 2013 if we included 8th gen games like Super Mario 3D World and A Link Between Worlds. Without them, there's just not enough there for me.

I'd probably give it to 2010 if Xenoblade Chronicles counted, but that game launched in North America in 2012 -- one of the weaker overall years of the generation.

So, I'm left with 2007. BioShock, Super Mario Galaxy, Halo 3, Mass Effect, Call of Duty 4, Metroid Prime 3, etc.
