I tried one of their games once, can't remember if it was 3 or 4, and quickly become overwhelmed by it and got stressed out. I like complex games, but it felt overly complicated (like Hearts of Iron) and I don't want to be stressed out gaming haha.

Will wait to see complains that Nintendo moneyhated it to keep it away from PS4 on the west. Or complains of this being the worst company there is because it doesn't respect and support PS4 in the west.

Several games launched in the west for PS4 had only japanese voice and at most english subtitle.

I've been supporting this franchise for so long... bought pretty much every single game and shared the hype here and there with other people and now i cant even play the new game unless i shill out the money to get a switch... feels fucking bad man...
Hopefully its a timed exclusive on the west in which case it doesn't change things much for me since i have to many games to play before i get to it, but even then it aint the best feeling.

Sucks for PS fans. There's a chance that this was legitimately done out of a need for money (Disgaea isn't a huge seller) but from out numbers at least, sales of the game were actually higher in the Americas then Japan, so it doesn't make a ton of sense. The translation will be done, the game is made, so can't see any benefit to gamers here.
Will this game end up being a Switch exclusive in the west or just a timed exclusive? I think the developers are taking a "wait and see" approach. If the game is successful enough then they will probably port it to Playstation eventually in the West. Otherwise it will stay a Switch exclusive.
This definitely isn't a moneyhat though, because the game isn't important enough for a moneyhat. Monster Hunter? Yeah, that might have been a moneyhat, but not Disgaea.
curl-6 bet me that PS5 + X|S sales would reach 56m before year end 2023 and he was right.
My Bet With curl-6

It is indeed relatively unlikely that Nintendo will sell significantly more switches just for Disgaea.
