So its true. And $300 price is insane. Going full competitive here, also SX is going to be $499 from the same guy.

The 500GB SSD puts a dampener on things. Since is its all digital people will be wanting that extra SSD expansion sooner rather than later. I think the SX is a steal tbh, this sku does look okay though for those who can't fork out the extra monies and don't have a 4K TV.

Or the space premium. I will be honest here, I'm looking to get the S over the X now. I was already more interested in a smaller 1080p console because I simply have no use for the enhanced resolution when all my TVs are 1080p. Better that with high frame rates than 4K with lower ones.

I think I'm definitely getting this one.

Also, the official Xbox account did Tweet an update, so either they are trolling us or it's official (like for real) now. Also, they might still come up with a controller-less SKU. We can't say anything for certain right now.

Well yeah there's a market for it. Though I wouldn't want one over the full fat version. I personally see a baseline into the next generation of consoles. I guess if you only have 1080P TV's the Series S would make sense.

I think the value standpoint the Series X will be killer. Double the SSD, more RAM and triple the GPU performance for just $200. You'll be spending close $150-200 on expansion SSD alone.

Congratz Microsoft, those are good prices.

Series S pricepoint is pretty fucking huge. $299 straight off the bat. Probably £250 over here in the UK? Next gen console for the same price as current gen machines is ridiculous.

Incredibly tempted.

All the big playstation exclusives bar horizon have now been confirmed to have performance modes where they drop native 4k for 60fps. I'm sure MS and 3rd Parties will also make it very common next gen, so I would actually expect X to commonly offer superior perfomance options over S.

No way would it be that low. You have to factor in VAT as well

I would say £279 or even £289.

Solid price. Is this an all digital console as well?

@Bristow9091 wow, okay lol. That's insane then

Love the price of the S, Not a huge fan of the look but who cares with that price lol. I thought the X looked like a subwoofer but then this looks even moreso lol

My only concern is 512GB doesn't seem like a lot for a digital only console.

It's useless.. for $299 just buy a Switch or put $100 more and buy a PS5 DE for a full next-gen experience...

Not that simple. Switch gets table scraps of most 3rd party games. I don’t think Switch can play Cyberpunk. And seeing them charge for the Mario 3D bundle VS the insane value of Game Pass, plus Xcloud portability comes from your Android phone/tablet if you have one.

It’s a big upgrade from most people who only have a base Xbox One or PS4.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.
