-What games do you want to play on PC to make the price of RTX 3080 worth it ?( what kind of games do you atm play on PC? )
-Do you think investing in the RTX 3080 alone will be enough or do you need other upgrades in support of it ?(other than the psu)

I would say to just wait for a year or so to buy the PS5 and if you think there are enough high quality games coming out on PC to justify buying an 3080 then do that.

I play AAA titles and the odd competitive game like Valorant and things.
I have a 3900X so I'm 100% fine on the CPU front for a long time especially as games at 4k are GPU bound more than CPU bound. CPU is mainly about decompression and preventing stuttering.

The PS5 will be what the PS4 is, an exclusives machine, I play everything else on PC.

You already know the launch line up sucks and there will be no decent amount of exclusives for ages. Get a 3080 and stop destroying yourself mentally, lol.

Hahaha I will I will, I pretty much decided before I even made this but input was good.

I'll still wait for review numbers but with ray tracing off we're still seeing 75-90% improvement over a 2080. which is more like 85-100% improvement over a 2070s not including RTX. Madness I tell you!

PS5 for the exclusive Games. It's my gaming habit, and I prefer to spend $499 for a new Home Console every 6 years and enjoy all games on it, both Exclusives and multiplat, rather than spending $$$$$ for expensive PCs. I know a 3080 or a 3090 is very attractive for the specs and performance, and you would play the best version of multiplatform games, but for me powerful Home Console are enough to enjoy the whole gaming experience.

Hell yeah, two weeks is killing me. I won't be sleeping, not missing this. Hopefully Nvidia will start selling at exactly 00:01.

If you only want to spend 500€ then buy the PS5, if you can spend 2000€ for a PC then buy the RTX 3080

Some people haven't really read the OP. I already have a high end gaming system, I'd only be swapping GPU's.

So for me a 3080 to get a massive improvement in multiplat gaming and allowing me to comfortably play at 4k is better for me than spending that same money (after sellling GPU) on a console that I use for exclusives that won't have many exclusives at launch.

@OP How would you feel if you bought a PS5, and then three years later both Miles Morales, and Ratchet came to PC? I mean, you'd basically be paying a $500 fee to play it sooner, since you don't plan on playing any 3rd party games on PS5. And even if, by some miracle, those games didn't come to PC, by then you'd be able to buy a PS5 Pro for cheaper.

You think 3 years is consider early acces?

It takes genuine talent to see greatness in yourself despite your absence of genuine talent.

This individual has completely lost it. Sony has him/her well upset.
