3/10

I don't know if it was worst to start with that Halo who could be a 2014 game or to finish with it, but as usual Phil Spencer did way too many anouncements which lead to nowhere.

The show was mediocre, the statement "it's in engine" with a big smile is actually not a good thing Phil, if you want to show us games, just show us games, not in engine cinematics which doesn't explain what and who and why we should care.

But yeah, best annoucement was a Switch port, great.

Meh...am I the only one that I find irritating it's the second time they show this game and they haven't yet explained what is it about? I get it, cute animals, I get it "new age" stuff .... so what ?

I couldn't put my feeling about his event.  It wasn't bad but it felt lacking. I then listened to someone else talking about it. This game came out. Their comment was along the lines of "the game looks great, but whats the game" and I feel like that is the perfect description.

What's the game? We saw nice trailers but that's it. I don't know what this game is. I don't know how it plays or what the point is. Felt like an overall theme to their showcase today.

I don't really care about the lack of gameplay, but it is the lack of game.

Yeah, I really loved the trailer for Everwild, but kept waiting to actually see the action and it just never came. Then they didn't even bother with a '2021' at the end, meaning gameplay and actual release are probably still a ways off.

Same thing with Forza. It looked fantastic, the reflections and lighting were making my eyes pop and I was ready see it in action. Then suddenly just, 'Foza Motorsport', with again no release date or year.

Lot's of great announcements, lot's of necessary announcements, not a lot of substance yet. Maybe they wanted to hold back gameplay and release dates for their next event, while using this one to announce as many things as possible, but I'm not that optimistic.

The future still looks brighter than it has for some time, but currently all their eggs are in the Halo Infinite basket. So it better be a return to glory somehow.

Really dissapointed in this conferecence. Games laked gameplay, but more than that, there weren't enough promising and diverse stuff from MS(that are to my likings)

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Wow it seems a good chunk of people didn't really like the conference. I mean I'll admit it could have been much better, but I think they did good. Everwild is the game that stood out to me. I really like it. That Balan Wonderland game looks awesome as well. I should have tempered my expectations of the new Halo...graphically. I for sure thought it was going to be something special. It doesn't look bad by any means. I just expected it to look more technical considering the hardware it's being built on. Maybe we'll get an Unreal 5 patch in or something.

5 but I've little investment. The E3 2018... or was it 2019 was the best they've ever gotten into my hype and they've failed since. What the hell is up with Halo Infinite though, I would hope that is not XsX gameplay cause it does not look like a generation jump.

It would have been. MS were PR'ing for crossgen games for weeks before the unveil, for a reason. That, and trying to sell people on Game Pass.

A lot of us didn't expect Halo:Infinite to look like that though. I mean even if the game looked similar to the trailer it wouldn't have been so bad. The in-game looks worse than some current gen games, and that is from a studio with a AAA budget and then some, is incredibly disappointing. Especially with the hardware they have.

3/10. Some of the games certainly have potential, but the tenuous grasp on 'exclusivity', the weird caveats to their launches, the lack of gameplay in the trailers, and lack of information about the games leave me to only use my imagination to fill in the blanks, and nothing in the last decade from Microsoft has given me faith that they'll deliver.

On its own, not a good showing. They didn't show enough gameplay and what little gameplay they did show honestly looked remarkably unimpressive. Halo legitimately looks like this is a game somewhere between Halo 3 and Halo 4, not the next-gen game in the series.

Damn that looked like it hurt. Pretty bad all around. I mean, I want to like Microsoft but holy shit this completely lacked any wow factor. DEFINITELY put me on a 'wait and see' trajectory. PS5 looks good, this looks like 'yep, more microsoft'. and considering the 8th generation, that is NOT a good thing.

Halo demo is a 10/10 for me a singlescreen shot while running 4k @60fps is really representative of gameplay *rolls eyes*

I watched Infinite gameplay again on my 4k TV and it looks even worse, I feel embarrassed for 343.

I was at work so I had to watch at 1080p. You telling me that I should avoid the 4k version when I get home?

It takes genuine talent to see greatness in yourself despite your absence of genuine talent.

Idk tbh, maybe it's the size of the screen but when you up it to 4k it just shows how much it's lacking visually. I don't get it and can't put my finger on what the problem is here, maybe it's the environment or the lighting... Why does it look like a Doom 2016 remaster?

Stop look as screenshots or freezed frames it looks fine in motion
