NSW is up 80% over last year, in the first 6 month.
I don’t believe it will keep this pace. That would result in 8 millions for 2020.
But 7 million should be possible.

I'm starting to believe if they can ship the systems, they will sell. The momentum is just nuts. A couple decent holiday titles/bundles and it's a gimme. All about production.

Pretty decent boost for switch this week, anyone have any idea what the baseline is anymore? It just seems to be up and down so much now which I assume is due to stock.

This is how I think about it.  The shortages started in week 15 (3 weeks after AC release), and nothing too major has released on Switch since then.  Average weekly sales from week 15 to 26 is 67,657.  Since there are still shortages that is really the minimum baseline.  If they had plenty of stock then they would be selling 68k per week minimum.  The true baseline is probably more than this, but even at 68k, that is a huge step up from baseline last year.  Again just look at Rol's table during a typical week last year.

Anyone have numbers to compare Switch's 6 months this year to the best ones from DS/3DS?

Switch continues to dominate both the competition and its own previous numbers. PS4 falling back below 10k after the TLoU:Part II boost.

That's just crazy. The fact that lottery might continue through summer ? Yikes lmao Nintendo really has to ramp that production asap. I'm sure they could sell 100k a week for a while.

Brilliant switch numbers, evergreen software still killing it.

Japan also received a stimulus check from the JP government so maybe that could be helping as well. 100,000 yen (~$930 USD). Some areas got their paperwork earlier than others, so there could be a staggered effect.

The chain retailer I usually go to has lotteries for both the Switch console (AC version, regular version and Lite version) and a lottery for Ring Fit.

I expected less stock for this week, but meh... it's a guessing game. Next week should be lower than this one though.

The 2019 YTD continues to be off by 18 units in my table. I am still not sure why Famitsu did something to their old numbers and I can't be bothered to look up everything again because of such a small discrepancy.

DS had quarter 2 alone sold over 2.5mil I think twice lol. But let’s do 3DS

first 2 Quarters (Fam)

2667k NSW-2020 (with massive shortages)

2285k 3DS-2012

1957k 3DS-2013

1485k NSW-2019

Wasn't there one article that stated Nintendo said that production and supply were starting to normalize. If that is the case We should see more stable shipments over the coming weeks.
