Can't it be both typical and a lot?

The 'a lot' portion is irrelevant, because this is no different, percentage wise, than any other big game. It only makes sense to point it out if the drop is considerably worse than typical. Unless we're gonna say "oof that's a lot" to every release like this, it is a meaningless statement.

And if everything is a lot, nothing is a lot. Because that is a word reserved for comparative measurement.

No. As explained, it is typical.

No, it's not typical. It's a sign of the bad word of mouth. Next week we'll see a 120% drop as people rush to stores to get refunds.

It'll be the first negative sales reported on VGC. A milestone, really.

...

The Last of Us 2 has set an annual record in the UK and Germany. And In other countries, part 1 is rising higher in the charts too! :) It is interesting to see how many people are playing The Last of Us for the first time, currently.

I'm curious to know US sales on 1st and 2nd week. Some people are saying the drop from week 1 to week 2 in uk (80%) was way above the expected for a triple A first party sony game. No idea if it makes sense or not.

TLOU: Part II is doing so well the original got a boost!

who knows, maybe even the Uncharted series will get a boost just because it is a Naughty Dog Game :D

If the drop is around 75-80% WW for second week, that means sales are almost a million, very impressive.

It's not, exactly in line with Uncharted 4.

No it isn't way above expected and was pointed more than once in several threads. UC4 drop was 78%.

For the entire month, TLOU2 sold more than the rest of the Top 10 combined. Source.

Oof, that's a lot

Total game sales for the month was 1.24 million. I wonder how much the top 10 contributes to that figure.
