Oh, I got your point and disagree. Your post showed me every reason why OG Xbox is better. More compelling unique experiences I could not get elsewhere at the time. XBO never once offered that. XBO always said eh just get it on PS4 or PC instead. Can't be better if it offers nothing unique to it.

Well I guess you like living in a Dreamworld of alternative facts in the real world the X1 is vastly superior then the original X Box no matter how you look at it.  Also every console is unique in its own way so again you just international like being thick headed.

You have what is called an opinion. Which is not a fact but an opinion. More isn't always better. 100X 0 exclusives is still 0.

I would personally trade every single game in that list for Fable, Halo and Morrowind, I am not to fussed about quantity. (I mean, I own pretty much every game you listed anyway.)
A few amazing games definitely trumps a few dozen good games, the Nintendo 64 isn't one of my favorite consoles because it has 50x good games, but it does have a couple of my absolute favorite games which I think are amazing.

Knights of the Old Republic, Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis, Conker: Live and Reloaded, Jet Set Radio, Jade Empire, Crimson Skies, Beyond Good and Evil, Riddick, Doom, Half Life, FarCry, Splinter Cell, Blinx, Brothers in Arms, Ninja Gaidan, Gauntlet, Baldurs Gate was just icing on the cake for the OG Xbox, the OG Xbox didn't really have your typical yearly re-released games based on an established selling formula.

Sports games that get re-released on a yearly cadence and typically end up in the bargain bin after a few years for like $2 isn't a big selling point for me... Personal taste and all that though.

I could have listed a whole bunch of more titles like Red Dead Redemption 2, Battlefield 1, etc. etc.  The X1 beats the original X Box in quality and quantity no matter how you look at it as it easly should since it will get supported over twice as long.  The original X Box is barely better then the Dreamcast when it comes to consoles from that generation and it only got supported for two years.

You are missing the point.
It actually doesn't matter what games you list or how many games you list. - You are just simply missing the point.
Games are a form of art and art is the subject of personal taste and personal opinion... Hence my use of "personally" in my prior post.

So getting defensive about it is just wasting yours and my time.

But in short... The Xbox One is probably the most redundant Xbox console ever because...

* Majority of it's current game library is on PC/Playstation.
* Every Xbox One game will likely run on Xbox Series X.

At-least the Original Xbox and Xbox 360 have games that don't run anywhere else... Like Naruto: Rise of a Ninja on the Xbox 360. - And it will never be playable anywhere else due to licensing issues... And if you are a massive Naruto fan, that makes the Xbox 360 the best console to have.

This is the correct answer.  People that disagree are being irrational and need to take of their nostalgia glasses.

False.

Quantity yes, but quality is subjective. And for a lot of people, quality > quantity.

The N64 for example had a very small library, yet I'd rank it as my #4 top console of all time because among those few games were masterpieces like Ocarina of Time, Banjo Kazooie, Mario 64, F-Zero X, Starfox 64, etc.

The X1 has plenty of exclusives just because they don't appeal to you doesn't mean it has none.  Also the vasty majoriy of people buy MS and Sony systems for third party multiplaform games not exclusives.

The N64 also has a very flawed controller for that reason alone it shouldn't near anyones top 5 consoles of all time.  With MS consoles the controllers got progressively got better and since the 360 they are also great for using as PC controllers.  With Sony consoles the only minor mistep was the siaxis that launched with the PS3 but that was fixed with the dual shock 3.

I'm pretty sure that the vast majority of original X Boxes that are still in working order are used as modded consoles to play games from different systems and arcade games another reason why its overall software library was pretty weak.

Just because you hate the X1 doesn't make it redundant.  Heck I could use the exact bs argument for the PS1 since both the PS2 and PS3 are pretty much fully backwards compatible with the PS1.  Since the PS2 has completely identical control ports and memory cart slots then the PS1 you can even use all the PS1 accessories on it.  Also the reason brought up sports games in my third party list of games is because that is really the only genre where the original X Box had a clear edge over its competition they looked better, played better for the most part most of them where playable online and since it had an eternal HDD it was easy to save game files for them on other systems some sports games could end up using up all the available space on one memory card.

I still use my PS1 to play Japanese imports since they are region locked on PS3 and disc swapping doesn't work. I don't use a PS2 as it's not as reliable as my PSOne. Not to mention I use a PocketStation on some of those Japanese imorts.

The PS2 slim is super reliable and still the best re design of any console.  The original PS1 wasn't that much more reliable then the fat PS2.

I said PSOne not PS1. I had a couple PS2 slims fail.
