Doesn't Naughty Dog have 2 teams now?

Yes and I don`t want either of them doing Jak.

I liked the trilogy and got 3 platinum. And wouldn`t mind they making a new Jak, but would rather they make a new IP and both Jak and UC go for another dev.

I think that would be ideal. If the rumors are true, Sony already gave Uncharted to teams at Sony San Diego and Sony San Mateo to co-develop. Jak can go to Insomniac's Ratchet and Clank team maybe, for alternating between the two. Naughty Dog can make that new sci-fi IP that has been rumored for awhile, hopefully without involvement from Druckmann.

ND have been good at creating new IPs and some devs are good at following blueprint. I don`t think an UC from another dev will be as goods as the ones from ND, but ND can make an even better IP and for me UC finished with 4.

So one team cant do Jak and other new IP?

Would be nice if they had a smaller team working on platformers again yes.

Why shouldn't they let their vice president and critically acclaimed director get involved in this project?

Few game directors on the planet are capable of properly leading 2 teams and 2 projects at once, and ND seems like a 2 team studio now (the new sci-fi IP was already rumored to be in development like 2 years ago, and Druckmann just said in an interview like 2 weeks ago that he still hasn't decided if his next project would be a new IP or TLOU 3).

As for why many wouldn't want him involved with the new sci-fi IP, it's because they hate his writing on TLOU 2.

You are dodging the question. You said you hope he isn't getting involved. I doubt you said that because others may hate his writing.

So I'll ask again. Why are you hopeful he won't get involved?

Hynad, stop wasting time. If you want the answer go to the TLoU politic thread.

Where most of the discussion involves people who haven't played the game and base everything on the leaks? What more, I suspect it involves homophobic, racist and sexist people. But I could be wrong.

I'm not yet done with the game, so I'm not going to go there since I don't want the game to be spoiled for me. What I'm seeing elsewhere online, is the same moronic outrage culture going in full force against the game without any ounce of nuance in their positions. Taking issues at non issues because they need to be mad at the next thing. I'm not getting into that.

Could. But for what reason? It is a dead IP, let ND create new IP.

I think The Precursor Legacy is ND's best game, so part of me would love for the studio to return to it.

That said, Jak and Daxter hit its peak 19 years ago. ND is not the same company now, and its current design philosophy is miles away from the one on which Precursor Legacy was built.

New Jak and new IP.

ND's team is fairly large I presume and I dont think they'll need the full team for a new Jak as I dont see a new Jak take on a full scale like Uncharted or The Last of Us.

If so, prepare to have Jak go through some rough times.

Joking aside, I've never played a Jak & Daxter game.
If a new one looks appealing, I'd give it a shot.

I highly highly highly recommend you get Jak and Daxter off PSN. It holds up incredibly well by todays standards, you will be surprised its a launch game 19 years old.
