No, bigotry is the absence of tolerance, you don't get to play the victim when someone else calls you out on it. Using polite words while also trying to fight against inclusion in media is not 'polite', it's disingenuous and dangerous and still hateful. saying 'please go fuck yourself and get out of my game' is still telling someone to go fuck themselves and go away. WHAT you say is more important than how you say it, in this instance. Masking hate-speech with pretty words and a calm demeanour is not devaluing the oppression you're pushing for by decrying the themes in this game.

Can you give an example of his bigotry, like a direct quote? While I don't necessarily agree with his view points I havent seen him at any point clearly say he doesn't want gay people or other minorities in games. I may have missed something.

Well, based on what I've seen, read, and heard, the actual storytelling is - as it always is in Naughty dog games - very good. It's less about the quality of writing and more about the direction of the story. Which is really just an excuse to critique the game without actually addressing the intolerance inherent in the audience.

Like usual it is a mix of a lot of things not necessarily extreme but people do like to generalize the whole negative backlash in one extreme motivation to fit an extreme negative personal view.
