I could see it delayed. Others have stated that this is a separate team from FFVIIR, but we could still see resources being pulled from FFXVI to get part 2/3 out quicker.

But put on hold? Not really. Not unless SE decide they want 2 full teams working on VII which would mean part 2/part3  being developed simultaneously and released 1 year apart.

When is the part 2 coming out ?

I would say spring 2022 at the earliest and holiday 2022 at the latest.

Following the trajectory of something like FFXIII-2 which took 2 years and had to be conceptualised from scratch, even holiday 2021 is possible. They've laid the ground work on so many aspects of the game that they could aggressively outsource as they originally intended with CyberConnect2 (Naruto/DragonBallZ)

PS4/PS5 cross release for part 2 and 3 are quite luckily.

I hope they don't.

good to hear my friend :) the new minigames and story-scenes are pretty cool.

Who is your favorite FF7-character and overall @Final Fantasy ?

Yeap i'm replaying it to fight all the side bosses and trophies :P

Zack is my favorite FF7 character and overall FF9 is my favorite but this remake is definitely bringing back a strong love for the game as the original FF7 is my #2 fav FF game.

How about you? :)

interesting! Your favorite character is really cool. For me, its Cloud : D And Tifa is awesome.

Finishing my Hard play, the game is great and a lot of love was put into it. Not really annoyed by changes to story or pace. They fit very well. Just need to finish chapter 18 and kill Pride and Joy for my plat, doing it at this moment.

The only real issue I have with this game is the loading and the slow walking toward story line parts. I can't wait to play this again and part 2 on PS5 where it would take advantage of that fast SSD
