Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Xbox Initiative's game likely Perfect Dark

Tagged games:

Well as many have speculated, it seems that The Initiative might have leaked their rumoured project and its exciting if true.

The hint is below,

The unannounced project at The Initiative runs on Unreal Engine 4 and features “various weapons, gadgets, and a camera surveillance system”.

Could it be the perfect return of an old IP gone dark over the many years?

I hope so anyway.

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

What was their last game?

Fixed my typo. This will be their first project.

I've been begging for a new Perfect Dark game since this gen began. Hopefully this is true!

What's more exciting is if this is true than coming from The Initiative makes it even better because we know they have a AAA budget to make a game. So expecting a full fledge AAA Perfect Dark game would be mind blowing.

Have been a long since the last entry, I guess there will be a lot of people excited for it.

Didn't Phil recently say that there is no Perfect Dark game in development, or was that some other IP?

Seems like a big leap.

That said, I'd love a new game in the GoldenEye/Perfect Dark/TimeSplitters mold. I woudn't expect that kind of gameplay, though, even if MS greenlit a PD project. I'd anticipate a third-person action game in the mold of Uncharted or Tomb Raider (2013-present).
