I'd buy it

Zelda really could work as a turn based RPG IMO. I would buy it!

Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-5643-2927-1984

Animal Crossing NH Dream Address: DA-1078-9916-3261

this looks amazing

Switch!!!

If not, then Paper Link as a character in a Paper Mario game would also be super fun.

I like the Zelda 2 references.
Id buy it

I'd probably actually enjoy playing a Zelda game if it was Paper Zelda.

I'm in favour with some of the gameplay elements of Super Paper Mario being incorporated into Zelda, but not the art style, mostly because nothing else is doing this right now, and Zelda 2 already had a primitive version of this formula, so remaking that would be a no-brainer.

I'm not a fan of the idea of the "Paper" gimmick being shoehorned into Zelda, though. In my opinion, a Zelda spinoff deserves its own distinct style. One thing I like about Nintendo is that it tries to keep the uniqueness between the various franchises, and isn't the sort of company that does stuff like "Oooh! Lego X worked, now let's make Lego Y, Lego Z, and while we're at it Lego A, B, and C... now D, E, F, G... How far can we take this?" and that's why I am against the idea of expanding the "paper" gimmick beyond Paper Mario for this reason - they did cardboard and plushies with Yoshi, and yarn with Kirby; give Zelda it's own thing too.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

My thoughts exactly. Recognized the overworld map immediately!

But imagine going through all it's dungeons and fighting each enemy turn-based. You'd take forever before you'd even encounter a boss. Especially with the Fantoms... Bah, don't care, would be an instabuy either way!

I agree with this. This fanclip is funnily made, but an actual Zelda spinoff should be it’s own thing. I’m not exactly waiting for a ‘Paper Zelda’.

Sorry. This is a quote test. Why doesn't it work?
