Sanders platform of democratic socialism appears to resonate with voters under 30. When it came to young people, the Vermont senator comfortably beat Biden in every state’s exit polling.

The same holds true among young, black voters. Although Biden’s Obama-era legacy sustained his loyalty primarily among black elders, black Democrats under 30 overwhelmingly supported Sanders.

Sanders also won the overall majority of Latinos far ahead of Biden

Sanders won overwhelmingly the under 40's in all demographics (future of the party), Biden won the over 40's (not the future of the party)

Those demographics are the future of the Dem party, those groups loved what Sanders as a socialist was talking

This is why I think that the democratic party will have to move to the left if they want to avoid another big party emerging there and "stealing" their votes. And they will, considering more and more lawmakers within the party are much more left-leaning than the average establishment democrat and need increasingly to be taken into account.

That said, I think it will take until 2032 for a more leftist leader to gain enough sway amongst the general population and win the primaries against an establishment candidate that's well-liked.

Yeah it will happen, but your right it will take awhile for the old guard to pass away and the young socialists to come into their own and dominate, even in 2024 if Biden doesn't move left enough he may not get that second term, the young socialist demographic is growing fast as the ideas appeal to the their sense of fairness and a better more sustainable future

When people talk of the "moderates" in US politics, they would be talking "Right wing" in other developed western countries, the "Democratic Socialists" in the Dems is closer to the center in other wealthy Western countries

Trump is a pathetic self obsessed mad cunt who preys on those less fortunate than most. Even asking these people to fund his election fraud campaign.  True cult situation.....

If no one else has a case for fraud, why would Texas?

Is it just me or is it weird that a state can sue at all, let alone other states that have nothing to do with them.

I believe this is more of a move to please the President base then anything else.  The laws are pretty specific on state to state lawsuits and I do not believe this falls under that category.  If anything its more like a political stunt to say, We care then anything else.  When it gets thrown out they can cry fowl again stoking the fires even more.  If anything all this fraud stuff could end up backfiring on the GOP.  If voters really believe the fix is in, they will not turn out to vote in 2024 thus giving the Dems seats.  Its like the GOP is trying to play both ends which is on fire and they are trying to figure out which will burn out faster.  Pretty risky if you ask me.

Texas AG Ken Paxton is under investigation for securities fraud so my bet is this just a move to get Trump to notice him in order to get a Pardon.

There's also the fact that Sanders did really poorly among black voters in primaries. That could have been particularly problematic in Georgia where black voters are about a third of the electorate or so, and the margin of victory was so narrow. That means Trump could have won by taking 2/4 in PA, AZ, MI, or WI. Would have been real close...

Then maybe in 10 years Sanders would have been the better nominee, but not this year.

Sanders is finished now, his time has passed, but he did leave hope and a legacy behind, off his shoulders others will make that progress now

If Biden does not pivot left hard enough he will be a one term president, the 2024 election will go back to the Reps

AOC is the one to watch in 8 years in the 2028 election, by then it may be too late for the natural environment but people will be strongly motivated by events, she will be the first of the socialist Presidents that will slowly turn the US around the corner away from it's dark past and into a fairer, more caring society

Unfortunately, the youth demographic turnout was pretty terrible in the primaries. We can't really expect the party to cater to us when we aren't voting.

Soon-to-be-ex-president Trump claimed on Twitter that he was the only presidential candidate to win Florida and Ohio but lose the election, as if that was proof of some wrongdoing against him. Showing how historically illiterate he is, he conveniently forgot that Richard Nixon won Florida and Ohio in 1960 but still lost the election to JFK. This maroon can't seem to go five minutes without showing how stunningly ignorant he is.

It made me think of this xkcd comic

I think Trump is admitting that he rigged the voting in Florida and Ohio.
