Unfortunately I can't get them all right now as my brother, who has moved back to my parents place temporarily for my safety and his, has No More Heroes 2 and Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, I traded in Bayonetta 1 on 360 when I got the Wii U version bundled with Bayonetta 2, and Jett Rocket is a digital only title, but here's the other 18.

can i see your 2017 collection? i wonder what you got that year since most people voted for that year :P

From 2017 I bought Zelda Breath of the Wild, Mario Odyssey, Splatoon 2, Xenoblade 2, Yooka Laylee, the Switch port of Doom 2016, and Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, so 7 games.

I also bought Hellblade and Wolfenstein II, originally 2017 games, when they came to the Switch later on, (so 9 if you count those) and if they had come to hardware I owned I also would've bought RE7, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Nier Automata, so to be flexible let's call it 12.

Breath of the Wild alone makes 2017 the winner for me.

Xenoblade 2, Mario Odyssey, Persona 5, and Horizon Zero Dawn just widened the gap.

2019 was pretty cool too; Yooka Laylee & The Impossible Lair, Luigi's Mansion 3, Trine 4, Witcher 3 and Hellblade on Switch, Yoshi's Crafted World...

2013, Fire Emblem Awakening, Metal Gear Rising, Dual Destinies, Wonderful 101, etc. for me.

2019 is a very close runner up, with the best game I've played in a decade plus in Devil May Cry 5, along with Three Houses and Outer Worlds being other standouts.

Borderlands 2, Far Cry 3, and Xenoblade is a hell of a trio.. so probably either 2012

or 2017 (Switch launch year) + Cuphead

Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.

Well, seems we mostly agree that 2012 and 2015 were downer years; no votes for those yet and I can't say I'm surprised.

Don't get me wrong, it's not like there weren't good games released in those years, but neither has many standout GOTY candidates, at least in my opinion.

2017 for me. BOTW, Mario Odyssey, Mario+Rabbids and Metroid: Samus Returns and several others I cant remember right now.
