2011-2012-2013, because I was playing PS2 games

Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.

Well, seems we mostly agree that 2012 and 2015 were downer years; no votes for those yet and I can't say I'm surprised.

Don't get me wrong, it's not like there weren't good games released in those years, but neither has many standout GOTY candidates, at least in my opinion.

Bet with Liquidlaser: I say PS5 and Xbox Series X will sell more than 56 million combined by the end of 2023.

2017 for me. BOTW, Mario Odyssey, Mario+Rabbids and Metroid: Samus Returns and several others I cant remember right now.

2017 was glorious.

HOW BAD was 2012!????

2017:
Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, Persona 5, Sonic Mania, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Splatoon 2, Mario & Rabbids, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Cuphead.
Head and shoulders above every other year.

Pretty bad tbh.

There were some good games that year like Metro Last Light, Halo 4, and Black Ops 2, but compared to other years it was somewhat lacking in the number of really high quality games, in my opinion.

2010. It was close with 2017, but the fact that Xenoblade Chronicles actually launched that year puts 2010 over the top.
