- Reports from various countries including the UK, the US, Denmark, and Spain show that social distancing and lockdown measures are successfully slowing the spread of COVID-19 and "flattening the curve" https://futurecrun.ch/coronavirus?fbclid=IwAR3SHnJcs28aI1_zrOQ35mZuOdmQniKlWoPezuK_EL7Tnabl9Ys1L-JMRZg

Thanks.

To be honest, I'm sick of bad news about COVID-19. I have a Twitter account to talk to my friends, and I am the only one that post and retweets good news about the pandemic. My friends are like "We're all going to die" or "We are doomed". Also, they never comments the good news I post.

Geez, it almost feels like they are rooting for the virus.

No worries man, glad it helped. :)

Different people have different stress responses and unfortunately some people's response is to give in to fear and despair. I'll make sure to continue posting positive updates on the situation here, cos there is actually quite a lot of things to be optimistic about, from vaccines and treatments coming along at a rapid pace to people all over the world helping each other out by donating food, money, and equipment.

Another minor/personal one, but I got invited to do an interview for a project called "Humans on the Autism Spectrum" where they wanted to talk to a wide range of Autistics from different walks of life, with April being Autism Awareness Month. I did my interview online yesterday morning, I hope it helps people gain a better understanding of how broad the spectrum is. :)

Some more positive developments in the current pandemic:

- European nations are reporting encouraging signs - Italy has recorded its lowest daily toll in two weeks, France reported its lowest daily toll in a week and Spain said fatality numbers have fallen for the third straight day. (As of 6th April)

- There are now 49 vaccines and 79 treatments for COVID-19 in clinical trials around the world

- A new study has shown that an anti-parasitic drug called Ivermectin, already available around the world, can kill the virus within 48 hours.

- Biotech giant Gilead is donating 1.5 million doses of its experimental anti-coronavirus drug remdesivir for compassionate use, expanded access and testing.

- The Gates Foundation is building seven factories, one for each of the top seven vaccine candidates. “Even though we’ll end up picking at most two of them, we’re going to fund factories for all seven, so we don’t waste time.”

It's not news, but there's nothing about this that isn't positive.
