Add Dontnod to the list too, they made Remember Me and Vampyr so they are capable of making AAA games.

So, based on the new information we have about Jez's 2nd party teases:

  • The Cyclone emoji AAA one he teased may be announced this year and seems to be the furthest along project of the bunch. Seems to be connected word/shared world, aka GaaS. I personally have no idea what the Cyclone emoji was about, I can only think of 2 AAA capable devs/publishers with a logo even remotely similar to the Cyclone, one is Ubisoft, and though Ubisoft Massive's Avatar game would match on all bases (AAA, been in development 4 years now so should be ready to be unveiled to the public this year and released by 2022 at the lastest, shared world), Jez specifically shot down Ubisoft, saying that Xbox Global Publishing is for indie devs. I recently made a list of all remaining independent AAA capable devs, and the only one with a logo similar to the cyclone emoji is Iron Galaxy, so unless they immediately began work on a shared world AAA game for MS after Extinction released and flopped, I have no clue what this game could be.
  • 3 other big 2nd party games that are in prototyping stage (early development), so those won't be releasing anytime soon. None of those 3 is the rumored Kojima game, so that would make 5 total big (AAA) 2nd party projects coming, 4/5 of which are early development and won't be ready until mid-late generation presumably.

I must say I'm quite disappointed by Xbox Global Publishing. Have they been asleep at the wheel the past few years? MS badly needed 2nd party to pick up some of the early gen AAA slack, since so many of their 1st party AAA's are looking like they will be mid-gen (2023-2024), including Fable, State of Decay 3, Perfect Dark, Everwild, and inXile's AAA. 2021 and 2022 badly needed some 2nd party AAA projects, but now it seems like we might only get 1 AAA from them during those 2 years, the cyclone emoji shared world one. 2nd party division should have been getting some AAA projects in development back in 2017 and 2018 so that they would be ready in 2021 or 2022. Now if MS doesn't have a AAA 3rd party moneyhat or two for 2021 or 2022, Sony's early gen AAA lineup is going to be stronger than there's for sure.

I doubt that Xbox Global Publishing is sleep at the wheel instead deals are hard to come by with the right dev team, time, money and project worth investing in.  Really the fault probably would be with a lot of things including Covid as everything was put in delay which is a domino effect.  Its a problem that MS had and I am sure were trying to plug those holes but not all the time do things drop in your lap the way you plan.  After being involved in way to many type of situations, getting to the finish line with projects especially when working with 3rd parties you never really know how things will shake up even if things are going great.

People can Fly is still a possibility too since they are growing big https://peoplecanfly.com/people-can-fly-announces-development-of-new-aaa-title/

The new Merchant Trade Routes sound decent and should be good to do on a solo sloop just stock up and chill whilst sailing across the map.

Just finished the 2nd playthrough of Nier Automata (or Route B). Honestly, I fail to see the point. It's ~80% identical to Route A and the little that is new is either rather pointless (most hacking sections) or could've been included in Route A. That's why I finished it as fast as possible. Took me 3-4 hours.
Thankfully that should've been the worst part.

Playthrough 3 is where things get amazing imo.

Agree, but then again I remember one playthrough that was like 5 mins.

I haven't played any of these and don't know how I've been able to avoid spoilers, but I will give this a go.

Mass Effect 2 is on my list of greatest games of all time, for the trilogy Mass Effect imo has the best story and villains and Mass Effect 3 has the best combat. The fact that you get to play it with all the DLC and a revamped ME 1 is a bonus, also if you end up enjoying the franchise i would still recommend picking up Mass Effect Andromeda despite its reception it’s still a good game imo.

The Indie Game Incubator initiative, launched in Japan by Marvelous, Inc. (the studio behind God Eater 3, Fate/Extella Link, Daemon X Machina) this February, has officially received the support of two big industry players like Microsoft's Xbox and Unity Technologies.

The news, revealed through a press release issued on the Marvelous website, points out that Xbox is a great opportunity for Indie Game Incubator participants as it is linked directly with Xbox Game Pass, where indie developers regularly thrive. Microsoft's Phil Spencer did say he wanted to work directly with Japanese creators.

I find this very interesting, couple it with this:

One can tell ID@xbox is trying(for real) to get jp indie devs on the xbox ecosystem.

Meanwhile, nice to see Marvelous x Xbox hints as of late (not talking about acquisition here, just having their games on the system in the future)

Yep, I did.  For a hair over 5 bucks that is basically free.  It's still about that same price right now.

Should I play this after the 3 or before?  Or in between?
