Are you guys doing a skit by all assuming that a account with 50 followers is legit?

Apparently MS has won the bid on a contract to supply the US military with Hololens headsets, worth potentially over $20,000,000,000 or three Bethesdas. Then again it’s April Fools, so who knows.

Anyone playing Outriders?

This is real, not a joke :)

But this is also very well deserve, the HoloLens tech is vastly superior to other AR things out there. You need to actually try it to understand.

I own the Hololens 1 and even today I'm still amazed every time I'm using it. The amazing thing about it is really how this thing can map/track your environment and perfectly keep objects/windows against a wall etc even if you move like crazy... If I put a giant Netflix screen against my office wall, it stays there, no matter how much I move or look around quickly. This is absolutely nuts...

Honestly I'd rather get a Lost Odyssey sequel than a remaster. But now Sakaguchi is talking about retiring after Fantasian. A legend in game development releasing his swan song game on iOS, that's just about the saddest thing I can think of. Fantastian better at least get late console ports.

Well, he did say he was burnt out, so...

Didn't really start watching E3 closely until around 2013, but I did see Halo 4's reveal cause I did watch that one, can't remember many others before 13 though, I remember I actually moved away to get some snacks and then I heard "Chief" or something and shot right back to my seat, was hype as fuck.

But E3 2018 is definitely the best in recent history for me, after a period of uncertainty about Xbox's future, Phil comes out and drops a bunch of acquisition announcements, reveals Halo Infinite, it fully restored my faith in Xbox's future almost overnight, showed me that Microsoft is serious again about gaming and are going to again start putting in the effort and was the start of the process of making me feel optimistic again about Xbox, then they added even more studios the same year, Lol.

It's definitely a tie between E3 2008, E3 2018 and the Halo 4 reveal. Every other E3 I've seen has been lackluster.

I tried it and even though it's not VR it's extremely impressive.

With that 20 billion dollar deal, you can see why MS decided to concentrate Hololens to the business space instead of the gaming space.  I am sure they will come back to the gaming space at some point but with the 3.5K price tag it probably will not be anytime soon.  From what I have read concerning the Hololens 2 it seems to address all the issues of the first iteration and the compact size and weight is about right for something that would be worn for long periods of time.

Seven Years In, Phil Spencer Has Succeeded Immensely In Helping Xbox Turn Things Around - GameSpot

Facts.

I really hope E3 comes back. I'm not a fan of how things were run last year.

I think Xbox will get rid of Gold eventually, but only after they have reached a certain threshold of Game Pass subs. Might not happen this gen, but the beginning of next gen. I believe the sub services offered in the future will be Game Pass Console, Game Pass PC, Game Pass XCloud (play all games you own and Game Pass titles), and Game Pass Ultimate.

This very well could never happen, but it looks very obvious to me Xbox is trying get everyone with Gold onto Game Pass/Ultimate instead. It would be a win-win for everyone because online would be free(which is should), Xbox gets more money from Game Pass subs than Gold, it makes Xbox ecosystem more attractive for new consumers, and consumers continue to benefit from Game Pass.

Preloaded Outriders the other day. Gonna give it a shot today and throughout the weekend. I'm hearing that after the first 1 or 2 hours the game starts to open up and is enjoyable.
