Will this Skyrim be the special edition that was updated for Xbox one? Or is it the original Xbox 360 version?

It's the Xbox One version.

So.....not a mistake at all then?

I'm not a big fan of first person in Cyberpunk at all, especially with their choice to do first person for everything, even cutscenes. I don't like being unable to see my own characters facial expressions during cutscenes. They have such a detailed character creator and outfit system and it is all pretty pointless because you only see your character on the menu or in the rare mirror. I would kill for a proper 3rd person mode when they do the next-gen enhancements next year, but it probably won't happen, too much work.

What really sucks is that it was originally announced to have both 1st and 3rd person options like Bethesda games, only for them to change their minds later and drop 3rd person totally. I'm enjoying the game so far, but 1st person is still my main complaint with the game, not even the bugs I've encountered are worse than that in my eyes.

For me it is the opposite, I love the 1st person immersion.

I dislike 3rd person view very much so I'm really happy with Cyberpunk and if Perfect Dark goes 1st person too :)

That being said, while I do not recall that for Cyberpunk, having the option to switch for people who prefer 3rd person is great.

Glad it’s not in the Perfect Dark universe but actually one with Joanna at the center. Same goes for the FPS aspect, that’s the roots of the game and I’m glad it’s being respected.

Ark 2 being exclusive is also a pleasant surprise...is this the rumoured AAA published game?

I seriously doubt that Ark 2 is the XGP game that was mentioned in the job listings, if it were it would have had a XGS logo on the trailer.  We only found out that it was console exclusive due to Greenberg’s tweet.

Disco Elysium is only timed exclusive to PS5 on consoles it will release this summer on Xbox/Switch. https://mobile.twitter.com/jasonschreier/status/1337214302554632192

I hate when trailers are misleading.

Typical Sony timed exclusive trailer, what else to expect

It's really great to see that all the latest rumours about The Initiative's game ended up being false. It's nice to see "Perfect Dark" rebooted as a big-budget AAA singleplayer title instead of some seasonal, episodic bullshit which smell like a service game. Also great that they went with it being FPS as original one was. I just now hope that The Initiative delivers on the quality, gameplay and story side of things which is yet to be proven. But that's definitely the most anticipated XGS game for me now.

I 100% trust Drew Murray and Darrell Gallagher with this project, the writing team is a little sketch though since they only worked on Destiny and Star Trek Online.

One of the Xbox employees who worked on Sunset Overdrive lists an unannounced title in his Linkedin for a few years now, Lol.

Idk what Ken Lobb is doing, Adam Isgreen was the guy who pushed Killer Instinct, Ken Lobb just gave his support, he's getting on a bit in years so I could see him retiring soon, it is possible he is assisting The Initiative on Perfect Dark (Creative Consultant) even while remaining in XGP.

Joseph Staten I honestly hope doesn't return to XGP, he should stay at 343 Industries, Bonnie Ross doesn't have to leave but Joe Staten should stay and become Co-Studio Head alongside Bonnie, it isn't unheard of for studios to have two heads, at this point I strongly believe Halo needs two leaders, it's just too much for one person to handle alone, it'd be hard for anyone in the industry given how huge Halo is.

Tbh I was disappointed Adam Isgreen joined World's Edge cause he was the best in XGP, a lot of stuff was pushed by him and worked on by him, I think it's obvious at this point XGP has taken a step back, less investment, less focus on it and maybe a hot take but if Microsoft continues their acquisition spree, do we really need XGP?

I'd (if he accepted) create a Killer Instinct studio, call it Ultratech, move Ken Lobb out of XGP and make him Studio Head of Ultratech.

Yeah, at this point XGP is largely superfluous, why trust your games to 2nd party studios that you have no control over when you can instead just keep expanding the 1st party. XGP games continually disappointed this past gen, often both critically and commercially, and then we had situations like Scalebound and Phantom Dust which just turned into awful PR for MS when they were cancelled. Better to just focus on continued expansion of 1st party, both with new from the ground up studios and teams at existing studios, and new studio acquisitions.

Keep Staten on Halo and Isgreen on Age of Empires/Halo Wars (assuming that Halo Wars future gets moved to World's Edge, which I assume it will). As for Lobb, I'm not really sure what will happen with him. He is getting close to retirement age now, just announced that he turned 60, but he doesn't necessarily have to retire at 65, many choose to keep working beyond that age. I would love to see him put in charge of a new 1st party Killer Instinct studio.

Meh I can see XGP having its uses. It did come through in 2020, better late then never lol.

Ori 2, Gears Tactics, Battletoads, Tell Me Why, Flight Sim. 2 of those games 90+ on metacritic. As each of these 5 games is, XGP serves to fund more niche titles, where as their 1st party should be making games designed to be mass adopted. Like a turn based isometric strategy game will never have the same appeal as a FPS.

In this regard I hope XGP continues to do this and earn its spot among the other 1st party devs.
