Jeez, I saw someone mention it so I checked myself, Bloober Team value is now $95m...Public companies are so expensive.
If Microsoft is interested, Dontnod is $70m.

Lol I feel like Microsoft needs to acquire some more studios soon, especially ones they work with because their valuation is only increasing and probably in part due to their work with Microsoft.

Feels to me that some Polish studios are incredibly overvalued, never would have guessed that Bloober would be worth more than Dontnod.

My favorite game from the Xbox Summer demo thing, Haven, got Xbox Series X support. Going to be great for improving load times and such. Those console war fanboy bullshit comments and dislikes on the video make me sick though. I get so damn sick of the schoolyard chickenshit that is the console wars.

It says "Captured on Xbox Series X". Does it mean that we finally saw the first game running on real Series X hardware?

Call to Arms DLC for Gears of War Judgment is currently free:

Is snoopy in a position to actually know something?

I mean I personally suspicioned that Xboxing day is first week of September, simply because MS won't want to announce Series S a mere month a half before it releases, but I could also see MS waiting on Xboxing day until late September in the hopes that Sony will announce PS5 pricing first.

If it's the same snoopy from here, idk

I'm playing through Yakuza: Kiwami 2 right now. I'm in the middle of chapter 5. Technically, this is the best Yakuza game on Xbox yet. I'm enjoying it the most.
- Story moves at the right pace and I don't find my self going through 45 minutes of action.
- Loading times going in restaurants and stores are way better.
- I'm eating in restaurants for the first time!
- I like that there is no multiple fighting styles where I feel forced to use them.
- Side quests are easier to follow.
- Managing clubs is fun.
Up to now, this game has been brilliant. Presentation is excellent. I wish there was a kiwami 3 instead of the collection. I've got used to the nice presentation of the first three hames.

Yeah, I'm also playing it now, all I have left to do is the final boss fight and the the Majima storyline. I agree with pretty much everything you just said there. It is the best of the 3, the quality of life and gameplay improvements definitely make it better than the other 2. It's not a perfect game though, I do have some issues with it:

  • The bouncer missions are obnoxious, you have to do all 3 difficulty levels on each one for the achievement which is 70+ missions total, and the last few are very hard.
  • They stupidly locked some skill books you need to get 3 of the skill tree based achievements behind the crappy batting cage minigame. Would take over 2 hours of batting center grinding to save up enough points to buy those skill books, so I ultimately decided to give up on getting those 3 achievements.
  • While the graphics on the new engine they built for 6 and Kiwami 2 are much improved, they implemented zero anti-aliasing, so if you hate aliasing artifacts like me, the game will be a bit of an eyesore for you alot of the time.
  • In general completing the in-game completion list for that achievement is way too grindy and hard, mainly due to the minigames section of the list. Some of those would really suck to get, like the Mahjong objectives if you have no clue how to play Mahjong like me.

I also agree with you that 3-5 deserved the Kiwami treatment instead of simple remasters. We're coming up on a new console generation now, so they'd be getting a 2 generation graphical improvement if they Kiwami'd them, just like 1 and 2 got a 2 generation graphical improvement. 3-5 also needed the gameplay and quality of life improvements that the Kiwami treatment would offer, even more than they need graphical improvements.

I also think that Rya Ga Gotoku studio should seriously consider remastering/remaking Yakuza Kenzan and Yakuza Ishin on Series X and PS5 and localize them in the US this time. I remember Sega saying that the reason why Kenzan and Ishin were never localized was because they didn't think that western gamers would appreciate games set in historic Japan when they have no knowledge of Japanese history. But Ghost of Tsushima's huge success has clearly proved them wrong there, western gamers are clearly thirsty for games set in Feudal or Edo period Japan.

Personally of all the Yakuza games 2 and 1 are my least favourites. Yakuza 0 is the one I enjoy the most so far. (see my signature) and you see I am playing trough the remasters right now and they look fine and quality of life improvements are certainly not needed.  Kenzan has some things going on that will put shock Western audiences I would not be surprised if some would ask to ban the game if it releases in that state.  Ishin is funny and yeah deserves a localization in the West but boy the fighting feels rubbish.  It is basically all sword fighting but not in a fun way and gets insanely fast repetitive.

My ratings of the yakuza games:
0 > 2 > 6 > 1 > 3 > 4 > 5
If I were to include judgment, I like that better than any of the other yakuza games.
I loved Judgment, 0, 1, 2, and 6. Yakuza 3, 4, and 5 feel too dated for me. I would also prefer the kiwami treatment.

Lol this was supposed to be the busy month. Wont be surprised if everything gets pushed to October again.

My raking of the Yakuza games:
2>0>6>1>3>4>5
Yakuza Dead Souls isn't bad either I would give it a 7/10 would buy it again if it gets re released on another console.

Going back to some old games and right now I am starting Viva Pinata Trouble in Paradise. So glad it's on Game pass (babeh).

I kind of hope Everwild is like Viva. If not, please can we get a new Viva.
