This guy says that he talked with Itagaki (Dead or Alive creator) privately, who told him that he would love to join XGS and make Xbox Series exclusives, that Phil only needs to ask. Wish Phil would do this, a new JP fighting IP from Itagaki would go a long way toward getting Xbox back into the minds of the FGC, combined with a new Killer Instinct for the western fighting fans. Sadly, it doesn't even seem like we are going to get a new Killer Instinct, rumor is Iron Galaxy isn't interested and Phil doesn't have another studio working on it, feels like Phil has totally given up on winning over a decent sized chunk of the FGC these days. Arc ignores Xbox and he lets them, Capcom ignores Xbox with Street Fighter and he lets them.

Arc didn't always ignore Xbox though. I think it was Chronophantasma that kind of made them go AWOL. Pity, because... ironically, the one game featuring RWBY characters is the one we didn't get, and we're talking a franchise whose company took off because of Xbox.

It's the equivalent of us somehow getting a Nintendo game and Ninty choosing to leave Sony out of the picture, which I hope happens. Ninty should be less stingy about us getting at least a collection of their older games on Xbox.

But yeah, Itagaki and Sakaguchi are pretty chill about XBO and Bamco has always had a kind of well intentioned disposition towards it, just like SEGA. Finding which studios are open to cooperation is important.

That, and closing the piano lid down hard on those who aren't (NIS, Idea Factory, NTT) for the added "ouch" points.

Ubisoft just announced that Collectors editions for their games on Xbox will have digital keys instead of physical discs going forward, while PS will still get discs....

That makes absolutely no sense since PlayStation are the only ones who have a confirmed discless console at the moment.

Yeah, you would think that they would switch to digital keys on both, since both Sony and Microsoft have next-gen all-digital consoles that won't be able to use the discs that collector's editions come with, forcing people to pay $60 for an extra copy. Now digital PS5 buyers are screwed.

I thought most publishers these days sold their super $200 collectors editions with no game included so people pay for stuff likes the statues, OST, Posters etc anyway.

Well, this is disappointing but once again shows that Microsoft probably doesn't give a shit about physical media unfortunately. Actually, Ubisoft has just better start selling collector's editions without game at all. They already do it in Russia, why not do the same worldwide. It also makes it easier for them because this way the CE is not tied to any specific platform.

Pretty much an open/shut case for me to not purchase any of them.

For me this is the opposite. I always have to buy the collector edition and then a digital key (I do not want to have to use disc).

This is amazing if they are doing that going forward, very happy about it :)

Finished Battletoads! Gameplay was overall solid. I liked the story, humor was hit and miss, but I overall enjoyed most of it. Simpin for the Queen OOOF. I liked some of the genre changes, like the odd jobs, spaceship level, bike level. But I did not like the hacking or platform. First half was way better than the second half. Really hope they make a more substantial minigame with more focus on the beat em up gameplay. Overall 7.8/10.

Edit: @NobleTeam360 Got something cute to say, say it in here and not be a little bitch in discord REEEEE OMG JK

Reported for harassment, I don't know who you are but you've got to chill out. You're making yourself look like a fool.

Just want to post that after an hour of failed attempts of being 1-5 seconds over I finally got the “The Purge” achievement in Battletoads. Lmao what am I even doing in life 🙃

Why not just keep it an option though?

Well, that makes me happy cause it would be perfect for me. But for sure, having 2 options is even better for those out there who want the physical version.
I believe digital is way more ahead on Xbox than other platforms. Microsoft has been pushing for it for so long. So maybe Ubisoft is doing that based on stats and how much they are selling digital vs physical on Xbox.

Maybe they just do not want to take a risk to have stuff sitting on shelves (physical) if there is really a lower number of people buying that version?

Don't know but for sure, I'm 100% for having options for everyone :)

Literally so bored with my life that I'm playing New Super Lucky's Tale... ashamed to admit I got like 1600 GS on the original one.

Maybe @Goatseye is proud?
