Anyone here game on an OLED TV? I'm considering upgrade options ahead of next gen, and just wondering how much burn in concern there actually is.

Don't have one but I don't see why people are so concerned.

Just use a screen saver and set it to 5min or something so nothing can burn-in when you pause a game or are stuck on the dashboard.

I also have a Plasma TV which are notorious for burn-in and it's kinda visible after you watch a long movie with big black bars but that fixes itself rather quickly. It's been in use for 9 years and when you turn it on you won't notice any kind of permanent burn-in.

...to avoid getting banned for inactivity, I may have to resort to comments that are of a lower overall quality and or beneath my moral standards.

Ugh, I just realized that the delay puts Cyberpunk past the cutoff date for The Game Awards 2020. Means that TLOU 2 is going to be running pretty much uncontested for GOTY. I really don't want to see TLOU 2 win GOTY.

Why does that matter?

I wasn't planning to play Cyberpunk until next gen anyway so makes no difference to me.

I always heard that OLED is risky for gaming. UI elements that are always present in games can burn in if you play for long periods of time. You're better off with QLED for gaming.

UI elements are different for every game... so if you don't play the same game for hundreds of hours it shouldn't be a problem.

Hundreds of hours isn't an unrealistic barrier for certain games though.

Cyberpunk delayed.. again. Could this year get any damn longer.

For me anyway I get flashbacks to 2009 when Uncharted 2 won GOTY. PS fans bragged for at least 3 years. “How many Xbox titles won goty?!?!” Ugh lol

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

1. Because I don't want to see a bad game win GOTY, lol.

2. I not only find TLOU horribly overrated, but the story I've read for TLOU 2 sounds dreadful, and it annoys me to no end that critics give that a free pass with a crazily high 95 meta.

1. A bad game? Have you played it?

2. The general sentiment from many reviewers and youtubers who have played the game is that the story has so much more to it than the leaks indicate (hence the glowing reviews).
