Sony wont announce the price in June. Last gen they didn't announce a price during the 1sy PS4 showcase.

Last gen, the first PS showcase happened very early in the year. Frankly, I'd be a little surprised if they don't price it at this June event. It's going to have more impact opening pre-orders right after a big showcase than waiting until some nondescript later point when MS may or may not have put a price tag on their own box.

Some outlets have reported that the PS5 will be very limited at launch so Sony might be willing to announce the price later since the PS5 will sell out regardless.

Edit: nevermind

Sony said the stock limitation was by choice because they don't think ti will sell as fast as the PS4 not because they can't make enough of them

People are pissed in the comments.

its very clear that Sony paid Epic for that demo unveiling but honestly it’s very baffling why a company that has the most profitable video game ever and biggest world leading Game Engine would ever decide to be a PR mouthpiece for Sony with false and misleading messaging.

The problem we have with "The power of the SSD" at the moment is we know nothing about their real world performance numbers it's all good giving out paper specs of the max sequential but what kind of actual performance levels are we going to get on both the Series X/PS5 SSD's is what I want to know.

We know their sequential reads and compressed reads.

But nothing of writes or random reads/writes, latency and so forth.

So you are right, we don't know every aspect of them yet except for the hypothetical read-rates. -In saying that, we don't have any reason to doubt Microsoft/Sony's numbers, they are probably around the real world ballpark, but grains of salt and all that until empirically tested by an independent 3rd party.

But the same goes for any other arbitrary number thrown into the wind like Teraflops.

Yeah that engine reveal has become a joke because of this obvious marketing partnership. Nothing wrong using PS5 to demonstrate the engine, but the refusal to answer questions about the other next-gen console is ridiculous. It's almost as if he's trolling and flaming the console warz.

What one are you most interested in?

Well, let's see...I know pretty much nothing about any of them, soooooo

Oh and the poll, I voted The Coalition because despite Gears5 being a major letdown, it did look fantastic. Now that Rod and Ryan are gone, I'm again hopeful Gears will become the great franchise it once was.

I miss Gears of War.. should I give 5 another shot and try to enjoy it for what it is or continue to whinge..dunno.
