Matty comes up everywhere now when it comes to Xbox/Bethesda news lol but he seems to be right there with you! Came across his comment on Bethesda's Starfield video

I've always leaned towards them not doing this, I thought it would be like Mass Effect but damn if they pulled it off, the detail of the Bethesda worlds and huge spaceflights in between them, it sounds too good to be true, Lol.

For sure it sounds too good to be true! If they are able to make it work, I wonder how they'll be able to make space more.....exciting? to travel lol. I'm sure the first few times we're able to fly around in space will be super rad, but, it's not like there's a ton to do in space and if takes like 10-15 real world minutes to travel from one planet to the next, what can Bethesda do to make space exciting to travel through on the hundredth or thousandth time?

Was it confirmed it will be a shrinking area.  I guess the thing is, if you believe they are doing the standard BR then yes but nothing really been confirmed exactly what they are doing.  I still say it sounds more towards Destiny then BR and a mixture of Halo 5 but thats just me.

Technically nothing is confirmed yet but I believe Jez said it has a shrinking arena and the leaked settings make note of a containment zone and another setting for the containment zone is "final location" so it does seem to move but who knows if it's a shrinking zone from start to finish.

Make this happen MS or I will burn down your Settle office.

Good thing their offices are in Seattle!

lol, that is what I get for trying to throw something quick while getting back to work.

Found this quote from Todd Howard.

"Traveling in space in our game, I want to say it's like flight in the '40s, like it's dangerous," said Howard. "It's still dangerous to go and explore, even though lots of people do it."

Make everything in space out to kill you, including space itself, the ships themselves don't look very futuristic but I assume they'll still go fast, they could add dangers like meteor showers that you have to evade, they could come out of nowhere, travelling space and suddenly an alarm starts blaring, add radiation volumes, ship maintenance, space pirates, etc.

Dunno if all that will be added but it would definitely make it a lot more dangerous than just going from point A to B.

Gotcha! That definitely sounds more enticing? It'll look super cool to start flying around in space but then you also get the feeling of dread wondering what's gonna happen lol. Space pirates trying to get you was something I hadn't thought about!

If manual spaceflight turns out to be true, it will have made the insanely long wait for the gameplay reveal to be absolutely worth it!!!

Incredible quarter for Xbox

I predict a double digit percentage increase YoY for Xbox's 2022 holiday quarter!

If Xbox can have a record non-holiday quarter while not having a single first party release, makes me wonder what holiday 2022 will look like with so many titles they'll be releasing with Starfield to cap it all off!

Best non holiday quarter ever huh

Imagine what one could do with more supply and a quality first party release or two lol

On a bit of a continuation about the potential of how space exploration will be in Starfield lol :) I wonder if we can expect something kinda sorta similar to this from Star Citizen? Not to a T because this much more Star Wars than the more grounded NASA-punk BGS is touting for Starfield, but what the feeling of flying in space might look like and what actually landing on a planet may look like.

13:43 to see flying around a planet and 17:09-18:25 to see landing on a planet. Star Citizen is finally starting to not seem like vaporware

Cool numbers MS, now buy another studio. I'm bored

Nadella considering the Switch last-gen is gonna ruffle some feathers lol

Confirming what we all knew
